Spooks Series Four!

I thought it was shit for 53 minutes, picked up at the end, looked like they'd be killing off half the cast yet again ("Oh for fuck sake" I was muttering), surprised me by not, then did it anyway. "Well, I won't be watching this anymore" would be my stance, if it wasn't the end of the series and thus leaving no choice.

That rapidly improved in the last 5 minutes. I thought the whole Diana thing was handled poorly, and the last episode was looking to be a bit of a joke, then they saved it all with that ending (although I still think the plot was too wild and loose).

Looking back I think series 4 has been the strongest yet. The first series was superb, the second had some excellent episodes, but some poor ones too. The third seemed to lose its way at first (losing the entire main cast) but came back strong at the end. This series seems to have been very solid all the way. I wasn't expecting much, but they really pulled it off, and with mainly a new cast. Some of the episodes have been very well written, and it seems to be back on form, unlike all the American over the top action that was going on last series. Great stuff, backs patted all round.

Bring on series 5 then.

That was superb, like most peopel have mentioned I think the begginging dragged at first but it really hit it's stride in the last ten minutes, with that shocker.

Season Five SPOILER WARNING

The actor that plays Adam doesn't know wether his contract is being renewed for the next series which starts filming in January. It was also rumoured before this episode was aired that Harry is leaving.

Im going to put on the season two dvd now, so I can watch the episode where Tom gets framed. :)

You really should have put that in proper spoiler tags.

I'd never really been a fan of Spooks until this series, but throughout its gradually been growing on me. I thought this episode was pretty entertaining throughout, and no doubt tricky to make considering the subject matter.

If they could just lose the Bugs-style noises and graphics on the computers, it would be amazing.

The episode also seems to point to the possibility of Malcolm not returning for the next series...? I would assume that was what the whole wire-cutting scene was about.

And I don't think Harry will be leaving the series, because there's clearly some sort of relationship potentially blooming between him and Ruth. That's a storyline that's going places.

Oh they've been hinting at that since series 2. It's never going to go anywhere.

Erm yes, great episode, and great series guys. Top marks all round.
