It's great. Very much more of the same. Handling feels better in this than the PS2 version. If you liked this on the PS2 or in the arcades buy it.

Re: The music. Thanks to a museum mode you can access all the Super Eurobeat tunes and listen to them to your hearts content without the sounds of cars getting in the way.

Fuck this is so good.

I just can't stop playing this. I had a look on gamefaqs.com for a guide and the drifting techniques are so deep. This really does hook you!

Pure Sega at it's best!

have you tried useing the gutters on akina, cuts plenty of time on your runs, also the construction section on akina with the easy left that becomes a tight left you can just go almost flat out on there, you need to turn as so on as the corner beings and quickly lift up and press back down on the accelartor and you will go right through

Class, that's straight out the books <_<

I'm only really now starting to regret punting my psp 6 months ago. Saying that, I didn't lose too much, maybe time for another one <_<

Stupid question, but on eBay I see that the game ships with an English manual. How come ?

The Hong Kong Version includes an english manual, I assume because English may be fairly common there as a throwback from the previous British rule.

There's a PDF of the English manual flying around if you get the Japanese version.

I have the Asian version myself. The game is perfectly navigable, even without a manual, though I do have a pretty high tolerance for FOREIGN DEVIL text.

COMPLETELY unlike the PS2 version, then?

In hindsight, the actual driving... physics or what-have-you in that were actually pretty sodding poor.

Damn you, Eurobeat-ey music.

I never had any problems navigating the PS2 version - I had to use a translation guide for a week or so, but I find that after that, you just learn where everything is.

The thing with Initial D's physics is that it's very Marmite-y. You either love it or hate it, and I'm a big fan of the way the game handles sliding and drifting. That said, I thought Sega Rally 2006 was fucking brilliant.

It goes without saying that the music is FROM THE DEVIL'S OWN ARSEHOLE.
