A week later, Larry is digging around in the back of the freezer. What's this?? Oh, what an idiot! The last ice lolly had fallen behind the frozen broccoli!

Larry: (turns to camera) And this boys and girls is why you should never judge someone based on their appearance. *Curb music*

This weeks is a bit dodgy too...

Spoiler

Joke about 17yr old guy being raped by a woman. They really try to justify the gag by having her be a super model and he got paid lots of money but it's still laughing at the idea of a young guy being raped.

I dunno, I still love the series and find it funny but it is a weird show that feels like it was almost entirely written by an old white dude at times.

The whole CCTV bit killed me.

‘Fuck yeah I like little women’ (or something similar to that).

‘you can stack them on top of each other to make a whole regular sized woman’.

After over a decade of Larry acting as if much younger, more attractive women would be drawn to his shrivelled misanthropy, it's never been anything other than that. There's often an amazing scenario or turn of phrase, but it's old rich white privilege: the series. And this series, it runs the risk of feeling tired, miserable and mean-spirited more than anything else.

It's not capable of saying anything that hasn't been said already.

Even worse they seemed to be referencing this real life case, right down to it being an ‘Italian actress’.

According to documents obtained by The New York Times, a $380,000 settlement was made between Bennett and Asia Argento after Bennett claimed that Argento sexually assaulted him in a California hotel room in 2013, when he was 17.
