Tequila
If Doom was about science experiments gone wrong then it would have been one of the best game to film adaptions. ← Hell is taboo, after all.
11 Herbs 'n' Spices
I found it to be really boring in a number places, took too long to get going. It really was much like the game, far too much generic corridor meandering. I did like the references to the game (Dr. Carmack for example) and the way the kind of had the BFG spinning, in that the camera revolved around it. Wasn't enough action for my liking, felt liked quite a few missed oppurtunities. The guy with the mini gun hardly used it! Quite a few bits made me laugh although some unintentionally, mainly the bit where Karl Urban's character notices The Kid's eyes are dilated. Of course they are, you're in a darkened tunnel. Everyone's eyes are probably dilated! The PC monitor was a weapon was fun though.

Man I want to see it again now...
Willei
I saw it the other day, filed directly into the "so bad it's good" section. Strictly by the numbers throughout, a few nice touches stick in the memory that elevate it from tedium. The best thing about it was that it didn't take itself too seriously! What was with that woman though - when she first appears, she talks with the wierdest accent, mostly American obviously but randomly pronounced a few words in a harsher more English style. The be honest, it wouldn't suprise me if she was drunk for that scene.
V3zna
I watched Doom on Friday night and although I enjoyed the references to the game I thought the film was mediocre at best. Some of the sets where incredibly cheap and fake looking and the action scenes where short and tensionless all to often. The Rock has a good Holywood career ahead of him but he's worth much better material than this.
