If it's anything like the game it will be about a marine looking for secret doors and circle-strafing baddies. Wonder if they'll put in those funny flying strawberry creatures (the ones that puke out those flaming skulls).

Maybe they'll put the cheats in too so you'll hear marines screaming "IDKFA!!!" or "IDDQD!!" every now and then.

Genius. It would be like Harry Potter or some shit.

I want to see the bit where the marine runs along every wall grunting until he finds a door.

For the best effect he should be unable to look up or down, and find weapons and keys on pedestals guarded by monsters who warp in from nowhere. Should also contain a montage of the marine 'getting stuck' and not knowing where the yellow door is.

Really? Doing the People's Elbow in the film would make it worth seeing. The Rock has got screen presence, and he was pretty good in Welcome To The Jungle. I'm hoping this will be halfway decent but I'm optimistic that way.

This is why i'm hoping that 'welcome to the jungle' will the the greatest film ever when I finally see it. Sean William Scott saves all the films he's in and so does chris walken. The combination of the three of them should be unstoppable.

Welcome To The Jungle was a brilliant film, that was totally under-promoted. That bit where The Rock randomly meets Arnie at the beginning, who tells him 'Good luck' was just . The sooner he becomes a proper action hero, the better.

The most ironic thing is you actually see him circle-strafe a pinky demon in the trailer. I also saw him shoot a red barrel and blow a demon up in the leaked FPS footage, which is great.

That entire first person sequence looks abolsutely brilliant. Frankly the entire film can be bollocks for all I care as long as that sequence works.

And lets not forget, most importantly...

The Chainsaw!

Will they have the BFG in the movie? That was about the only disappointment in the game. You expect loads of fireworks and instead it's like alle baddies are being teleported.

They'll have to hire some pr0nstars for the soundfx, all the grunting and stuff.

I'm afraid it'll be like a shitty version of the Alien movies. The Doom story is quite thin and Alien had these cool things like the sound of the pulserifle and proximity bleeping thingie plus the xenomorph which must be the coolest creature in movie history. Doom just has.....darkness, flashing broken lights and stupid floating demons.

I think the guns look cool (i'm a sucker for cool guns) and I think the FPS sequence looks interesting, but I feel this has a Resident Evil feel to it.

I wouldn't hold your breath.
