As I'm now in the process of building a collection of PS1 games I want to know what you guys consider to be the best games for the PS1.

Obviously theirs the Resident Evil series, Metal Gear Solid and the Final Fantasy series but what other psone games do you guys consider essential.

PAL or NTSC games no obscure japense horse dating sims please.

I have really gotten into PS games over the lst couple of years and there are tonnes worth having and loads that I missed out on first time round...a few more obvious ones...I am assuming you mean colectable as well as good...

Point Blank, Rollcage Second Stage (or is it Stage 2?), Castlevania: SOTN (get the american one, its easier to find and a fuckload cheaper). Sorry Benito, but Devil Dice and Kula World are so overrated its sickening.

Definitely pick up R-Type Delta. I've only ever had the PAL version, which is dirt cheap but people say it's dreadful compared to the NTSC version (which is usually a lot more expensive - "you do the math" ).

That's the one. Really good fun. The sequel is also good, but not a patch on the original.

I'm not too bothered about them being collectable or teh rare as their for my own personal use and I won't be selling them on.

The double pack 'Wipeout 3:SE & Destruction Derby 2', not only is a cheap way to own Wipeout 3:SE, but also a decent twin pack to boot. I bought it from GS for a few quid once.
