Current 93 - Invocation of Almost

I can't get over how good the new album is. David Tibet seems angrier this time, 'cause it's generally heavier and more hysterical than Black Ships Ate The Sky, with fewer mentions of cats and butterflies (though there are a few).

James Blackshaw's guitar picking punctuates the riffing rather nicely, though I'm not sure where Tibet got the idea of asking Andrew WK and Sasha Grey to appear.

I read somewhere that Sasha Grey is a big Current 93 nut and was on some mixtape with Andrew WK recently so he may have put in a good word (AWK is Current 93's touring bassist - Tibet came out on stage with him for Party Hard at ATP!). Her music taste is rather excellent actually, I'm sure that there can't be too many porn stars into Squarepusher and Swans.
