I really can't believe Walcott and Arshavin get paid upwards of £50k per week each, they're both a total disgrace. Neither one of them looks like they give a fuck. I wouldn't give Walcott a new deal, I'd let him run it down and go for nothing or take any bid that we might miraculously get for him. Arshavin I'd just sack. And Ramsey was absolute dogshit today. Benayoun offers nothing, I'd rather he started Rosicky. We look clueless.

Having said that, Swansea were brilliant and deserved their win. They play better football than we do and they don't play like overpaid prima donna billy big bollocks wankers.

Never a penalty. Replays showed we've been dicked on again by another poor decision by a ref.

No idea who negged this because anyone who saw the replay saw that it wasn't. Doesn't mean that the red should have seen it as a replay shows it to be, but we've had some really shitty luck with penalties for and against in the last 4 weeks.

One day Walcott's gonna leave, play in his proper position for someone else, and score thirty goals a season. And I hope Wenger feels like a twat when it happens.

Turning him into a winger isn't ever going to work, it's really only fair to the boy to play him where he's supposed to play, where he's got the game to make it work, or let him do it somewhere else where he's not going to get abuse for being shit in a position he's not even supposed to be playing in.

Spurs' annual collapse is going to have to be even more spectacular than usual if we've got any hope of finishing in the top 4 this year.

Spurs can afford a collapse, as they are so far ahead we still couldn't catch them so what Spurs do really doesn't matter. They are nailed on for 2nd or 3rd.

The highest we can hope to finish is 4th so that means battling Chelsea & Liverpool for it.

There's no excuse for not doing the basics. Any player on the pitch should be at least semi capable of reading the game.

Theo has got a few important goals for us this year, but he's far too infuriating to keep persisting with. He wants over £100k a week to sign on so I'd let him go. It would probably be good for him anyway, someone will be daft enough to offer him silly money and he won't have 60,000 Gooners on his back each home game...

I think Walcott is a nightmare for teams when he gets in behind, from there he's usually guaranteed to do something good. Where he struggles is when he receives the ball to feet about 50 yards from goal and by the touch line. Fullbacks are happy to keep him there all day as he's got no tricks and more often than not plays a short pass backwards. If we're struggling for numbers up top then we could do a lot worse than play him there and play Chamberlain on the right instead. Can't be any worse than today.

I suppose another thing is that whilst we weren't happy to capitulate every single March, at least we played some decent stuff over the season. It's difficult to remember a time now when we weren't a pedestrian, unimaginative team with a really good striker. It's unfair to criticise Ramsey too much as he's completely blowing out his back end as we can't afford to rest him as without him there's literally zero creativity in the midfield. We can't just keep putting players like Rosicky and Arshavin in when they haven't scored since about 1987.

Fair enough point out that teams have outspent us when we get steamrollered by City or Utd or something, but how do you explain away getting outplayed by a bunch of guys that cost about as much as a packet of crisps to put together?

Vermaelen

Santos

Gibbs

Coquelin

Sagna

Jenkinson

Diaby

Wilshire

Arteta

But if you were to look at the injury list from this point last season, or the season before, or the season before that it would paint a similar picture. It's hardly fate conspiring against us. It's madness going through the exact same scenario every year and expecting a different outcome.

Think you missing Wilshere a lot. Don't know what has happened to Ramsey in the last month or so. But he seems to be a bit too fancy and trying to try audacious tricks that are never going to work. Needs to go back to keeping it simple.

Obviously you also need another fullback and striker too.

My mum said the other day that she thought he was greedy. He more often than not delays his pass or picks the wrong option and he does try silly tricks, I agree that he needs to go back to basics and play it simple.

I think it's purposeful, he's been allowed to play a more creative role by Arteta playing deeper. He's just short of form - he was ready to have such an important part in the first team before he was injured, he's not got back to that form yet and probably won't when he has to play every game regardless of how he's doing in training. Being able to pick two from Arteta, Ramsey and Wilshere depending on who was doing well would have seen Ramsey have a much better season.

That's life at Arsenal though, I guess.

Season after season it's just all so utterly depressing. Zero progress. If anything we are moving backwards. Same shit every year.

We are definitely going backwards, the results & position in the table prove this.

Oxlade-Chamberlain aside, the signings Wenger has made this year have been shocking. Mertesacker is like a really bad version of Stepanovs. Yes, he's that bad.

A new challenger emerges for worst loan of the season.

AS say troubled Arsenal loanee Pedro Botelho was arrested last night after crashing into a police car and leaving the scene whilst drunk.

He's a young Brazilian on loan at Rayo Vallecano.

Also did Disciple delete yet another unpopular post? Helmet.

If only there was some way we could check how low it got before it disappeared. Oh, wait:

It only got to -7 before he deleted it, it seems. But just because it's been deleted, doesn't mean you can't go and neg two of his other posts to make up for it!

Mertesacker will probably do alright next season when he's properly bedded in. Which makes you wonder why we bought him, really, seeing as we needed someone who could make an immediate impact. His main talent exhibited thusfar seems to be falling over, after getting comprehensively beaten in the air by someone half his height.

As for Arshavin, I really think it would be kinder to euthanise him at this point.

I think he just doesn't suit us at the moment. In a solid back four where he'd more or less need to just read the game, not wander too far and use his experience in making a few interceptions he'd be excellent. With us he's constantly fighting fires and reacting to one catastrophic error after another, he's not mobile enough nor mentally ready to do that for now. Which is a shame.

We went for Cahill in the summer who would have been pretty good, used to the league etc. But we were dismissed by Bolton for only offering £6m as they wanted £18m.

Today he went for £7m to Chelsea.

So it just goes to show that if the club seriously wanted him in the summer, we'd have got him.

I don't think the club were really interested in making signings in the summer, they made a cheeky offer hoping to get the player on the cheap and it backfired as they ended up paying over the odds for all the rubbish they panic purchased after we got battered by Man United.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is the only decent acquisition.

So that's Mata and Cahill both at Chelsea instead of Arsenal. I'm sure they are both getting paid more in wages at Chelsea than they would ever have got at Arsenal. Doesn't stop me wondering what the result would have been with them in the team yesterday instead of Benayoun & Mertesacker....

And Lukaku, according to some reports that were kicking around.

But Cahill is hardly fair in the summer he had a year left and with plenty of time to be convinced to sign a new contract. £7m for a player you can get free in 5 months is ridiculous. But I don't think he's the answer for either Chelsea or Arsenal's defensive problems - he's decent enough and he improves any squad he's in, but it's not like bringing in non-injured Vidic or something. He makes mistakes and he's not an organiser, really. It would have been nicer him being here though as he's a Wednesday fan. Can't have too many of those around the club.

Mata was utter idiocy. We should have just paid the extra £5/10m or whatever it was they wanted while we were in the lead - it might even have made Fabregas willing to stay for another season.

I still think Parker would have given us a decent couple of seasons.
