We've been linked with him for the last 7000 seasons, so I suspect he will come. And he's a much better player than Arshavin, which is nice. But I don't see why we'd pay £3m to have him half a season early with a chunk of it taken up by the ACN - that seems a bit odd.

Plus if he really wants £90k a week then I doubt it's true.

But neither Arshavin or Kalou are as good as a proper forward who will probably cost some money. I mean, if he's not up to it for Chelsea he's not good enough for us.

If signing Kalou is at the expense of signing Hazard, Gotze and Shaqiri then I'm probably against it. If he's free, I think he'd be a useful squad member to have.

Yes, this. I hope we can offload some of the shite on the fringes of the first team and you can't have 4 world class forwards so he would be much better than Arshavin, Rosicky, Chamakh but not at the expense of a proper quality striker in the summer.

EDIT: Seems it's crap anyway:

Reports of Kalou flying back to London are wrong. Just spoken to an Ivory Coast team-mate sat with him at squad base in Abu Dhabi!

Kalou has always had a pretty good scoring record, didn't he? I seem to remember his shots-goals ratio being reported as high a couple of seasons back. I also get the feeling he'd fit into Arsenal's style of play better than he ever did Chelsea's. I reckon he'll be a real hit if you get him.

Arsenal: Szczesny, Coquelin, Koscielny, Squillaci, Miquel, Song, Arteta ©, Ramsey, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Arshavin, Chamakh

Substitutes: Martinez, Yennaris, Benayoun, Ryo, Walcott, Park, Henry.

Not a bad line up really, bar the walking disaster that is Squillaci. Glad the Ox is starting.
