We didn't play well but we'd have been out of sight if the game was officiated properly in the first place. Total muppet. Still, I'm starting to get the sinking new year feeling again. We're so bare bones like we are every season, how do we manage it.

On a separate note, the reputation system has totally ruined the football threads. I really don't think some people have the mental capacity to manage it.

All four fullbacks out plus Vermaelen is bound to lead to problems. Unlucky with regards to injuries but we don't seem capable of dragging ourselves through an intense period of fixtures. Gervinho and Walcott are massively frustrating, Benayoun and Rosicky aren't really the answer and Arshavin and Chamakh are a waste of space. Well done Fulham though.

That is fucking wank two clear pen appeals turned down and a silly sending off!

The sending off was laughable-Zamora saw the penalty box and dove for the line like a 100m sprinter and went down like a house of cards in a storm.

How we didn't get the Gervinho penalty though is just bewildering-you could see his foot taken away from him when it happened live and the replays only made it clearer.

I think the ref was absolutely determined to give Fulham a helping hand today, not that they needed it cos they played well, but we have been a bit robbed when you consider the circumstances and key decisions.

The fact that people don't discuss things at all any more-people just nip into threads, drop negs and fuck off.

In terms of the team specific football threads, I suspect that's because anyone that posts criticism gets immediately reported for trolling.

A more intelligent defender wouldn't allow it to happen though. It doesn't matter if it was or wasn't a red card, it's obvious that it could have been one so the defence (and specifically, that useless defender) should have recognised it coming from a mile away and not allowed it to happen.

It's just stupid and rubbish like most of the defensive cock-ups are.

TROUBLE torn Sunderland star Nicklas Bendtner was arrested following an early morning brawl at a luxury Tyneside hotel.

The 23-year-old striker was held by police called to a dust-up at the Gateshead Hilton.

Bendtner, currently on bail for an alleged car wrecking spree in Newcastle, was taken away with another 23-year-old before being released.

Police today said they carried out an investigation but chose not to bring charges against the Denmark star.

Worst. Loan. Ever.

Sounds like it was before the car wrecking but only reported now.

The other 23 year old is almost certainly Lee Cattermole, who is definitely not the person I'd get my new loan signing to hang out with all the time.

Unless they've become a couple, in which case it's sweet.

I think there were still tickets available for the Leeds game, for red members. I assume those will be snapped up now. Talking of Leeds and Thierry, remember this?

'I've seen most things in this league in the last 25 years...I haven't seen anything like him'.

So, so good. Devastating. That fourth goal, Kelly tried to trip him but he takes it in his stride and clips it perfectly. HA! That was one of the things with Henry, you couldn't even foul him really. Untouchable.

Yeah but...

CHDIONAWTEATBS?

(Yes.)

Salomon Kalou has jetted back to London to open talks over a move to Arsenal.

The Chelsea striker was in Dubai with the Ivory Coast as they prepare for the Africa Cup of Nations later this month.

Cool. Would be a decent addition to the squad. Not an earth shattering signing but I like him.

The player would cost £3million in the transfer window with his contract expiring at the end of the campaign.

A bargain. Good work Arsene.

Talks over a new deal at Stamford Bridge have stalled over his £90,000-a-week wage demands.

Never mind. Didn't really rate him that highly anyway.
