An ideal result would be a draw with both Chelsea and Spurs suffering injuries to important players... ho ho ho. I don't really mean that.

Hold on, I do.

Just watching some highlights at the moment and Petr Cech (sp?) really has been making some clanger mistakes this season. Makes me doubly glad that we have Szczesny who has been a rock for us all year. If RVP wasn't having the record-breaking year he is having, surely it would be Szczesny that would be our best player of the season? Arteta would be up there, but Szczesny is keeping us in games when we are not playing as well as we can.

Please use the Fabregas money to up Szczesny's wages, Mr Wenger.

Quick one-why not Darren Bent in January? I know we won't, but seems like a great fit for me. We need a striker, a poacher at worst, someone who can regularly score from scant chances at best. He's experienced in the league, proven in front of goal and wouldn't need much convincing to leave Villa.

He's not good enough on the ball for Arsenal I don't think. I could see you struggling to get into the final third.

True, but as an alternative approach to some games, a target man wouldn't be the worst idea that Wenger could have. Or at the least, one who is better than Chamakh.

I love Henry as much as any Arsenal fan, but I don't think we should re-sign him. Potentially tarnishing his legend status isn't really an issue for me as regardless of what happens, he'll always be one of the best players to have put on the red and white shirt.

But I remember Henry's last days with us. He was clearly a player in decline, which I think is the main reason Wenger let him go. Certain people held the view that it was time for both the club and the player to move on and that there was too much focus on him instead of the team. I think there is some truth to that, but I think Wenger is quite happy to keep a player who is always in the spotlight, if the player is still quality. The clearest example of this would be Cesc. Wenger would have happily kept him and obviously wanted to, regardless of the Barcelona crap, but Cesc clearly wanted to leave.

I'm not sure it was the same in Thierry's case. I have no idea what type of player he is now, but I think we'd be better off spending some serious money on a forward for the long term, as clearly Chamakh is on his way out in the summer and Park is almost non-existant.

Football heaven-all of Thierry's goals for us. So far...

If I had a quid for every time during that I thought "that one was definitely the best" I'd have a good fifty quid.

As for him coming back - he can't be worse to bring on than Arshavin. He can go back to advertising comparison websites for a couple of months and hopefully that'll be what he needs to get him to play like he did for about a month after he arrived. Related: If I build a statue of Bendtner outside the stadium, does that mean he'll come back too?

EDIT: Although that system hasn't worked for Fulham so far, I guess.
