Apparently there was actually a bust up in the tunnel. Nasri got all menopausal and Frimpong waded in or some shit. There doesn't seem to be a coherent account of what transpired as yet but it all sounds amazing. I'd say the highlight of the evening was Nasri slinking off to the touchline around the 30 minute mark, happy to be hauled off.

Considering Aguero cost more than our team put together, we gave a good account of ourselves. Their keeper made two fantastic saves as well. The fact the goal was their only shot on target says it all really. Hope we see the Ox coming off the bench a bit more now. He looked fantastic.

Yeah it was a good performance and it's a shame to lose to such a bunch of pricks (and Kolo Toure). I'm sure Wenger is aware already, but tonight has to highlight just how poor our forward options are. Park looks OK, but Chamakh is just bloody awful. He mopes about in such an apologetic manner it gets me down in the dumps just to look at his stupid face.

I don't really see why we bother with a striker when RVP isn't around. Most of our goals come from elsewhere anyway, so just plonk an attacking midfielder in (Arshavin actually getting to do what he does would be odd, but possibly good to see) and tell wingers they're needed to cut in more.

And as for tonight, c'est la vie.

A bit of retrospective Wenger defence. Cast your minds back to the summer, gents. There was a discussion about how good our youth system was versus Uniteds. I watched both ours and United's games this week. United's kids were absolutely awful (despite starting players like Berbatov, Valencia and Park) against a mid-table championship side whereas we put in a thoroughly creditable performance against a strong City lineup. Granted, we both went out there's no question about who's young talent looked convincing and who's looked diabolically shit.

Thank god RVP scored, I was starting to worry about his lack of goals.

"He scores when he wants, he scores when he wants, Robin van Persie, he scores when he wants."

After the team came over to applaud the fans Szczesny came over and led the audience in song, arms aloft, screaming the words to "we're by far the greatest team...".

I fucking love that boy.

EDIT: Found this doing the rounds of Szcz after the game.

Indeed. It doesn't feel like a good run at all because of this.

True. It's so fucking tight for third and fourth, we can't afford any slip ups.

Awesome. There aren't many, if any, keepers I'd swap him for. I think we need some of that kind of spirit, it can across as arrogant but I think it helps keep the momentum and self belief going.
