Punditry in this country is a disgrace, so many average premiership players on TV.

We have looked pretty decent, and we should really be ahead Ramsey is playing pretty high up the field but it seems to suit him.

A point is fine, but not a great performance. Santos is still likeable but is rapidly becoming the worst defender I have ever seen. Literally every bit of decent defending in the second half at left-back was done by Arteta being forced to come back, often Santos never being nearby.

I'd have left RvP on the bench too. Park wasn't doing anything brilliant but he wasn't being too bad either and every bit of gametime will do him good.

But a point is fine.

From Lee Dixon;

"I've no idea what Santos is doing. He just stands and lets opponents run behind him. He's got no idea what he's doing at left-back. He cannot defend!"

You won't win anything with him at LB, did Wenger even watch him play?

Sky are so fucking shite, the doom and gloom their pundit collective spouts whenever Arsenal play is mental. We all know we're not Barcelona but some of the comments are shockingly poor. Will we win tonight? Who knows? But to start off a CL show slagging us off - AGAIN - is a bit boring and predictable.

Most commentators & pundits are knob heads. Sky are by no means as bad as ITV but MotD is becoming unwatchable with Lineker, Hansen & Shearer.

As for Sky, having to listen to Redknapp & Gary Neville is nearly as bad as having to listen to ITV's David Pleat rambling on and on. Goals on Sunday is becoming crap as Kamara is as dull as dishwater & who can take Ben Shepherd seriously with his stupid questions?

talkSPORT is hit & miss. Stan Collymore is either brilliant or a complete bellend. Some of his debates are excellent, but a lot of them are nonsense.

What we have to realise is that Arsenal give pundits more to talk about than any other club. You just have to block a lot of the bullshit out.

At times he scares the life out of me with his inability to defend but he's got the knack of scoring goals. I'm sure once he's been conditioned properly his fitness will improve and he'll start tracking back. He's only been with us a short time so no need to panic.

I'm more concerned about Mertesacker!

As a card carrying Gooner I'm surprised at how much I like Gary Neville on Sky, at least he has an opinion and doesn't trot out the beige bland comments the likes of Hansen, Lawro and top top Redknapp do.

Lee Dixon is pretty good too.

Santos does seem pretty ropey at the moment, can't say I've any prior knowledge to fall back on as to whether he is merely settling in or this is how he plays (i.e. badly)

Gonna have to admit it, the couple of times I caught Gary Neville's punditry I thought he was excellent - most bizarre feeling having spent 15 years HATING the rat faced little fucker. Hating him.

Redknapp is thick as shit and a horrible, horrible pundit. Townsend falls into a similar category but I don't despise him like I despise Jamie. MOTD crew I'll give you that although I think Lee Dixon is decent (he's on BBC isn't he?). And I have to say David Pleat is actually one of the most insightful commentators around and I think he gets a bad rap because people don't like the sound of his voice or something.

In Asia I get the ESPN-Star dream team of Steve McMahon, Shebby Singh and Paul Parker. Surprisingly good and importantly none of them annoy me at all so I don't have to reach for the mute button at half time. There are some quality adverts involving Shebby and McMahon but sadly they don't seem to be on YouTube..

I thought I was the only one.

Hated him when he was a player, but I have to admit that as a pundit I think he knows his shit and talks sense most of the time.

Got a spare for West Brom on Saturday as I can't be arsed to go. Lower tier, back row of block 6, 35 notes. PM if interested.

*Might* have that off you. I'm going a mate and a who isn't, is now sniffing around for a spare. I'll drop him a text and get back to you.

it's the kerb-crawling that did it for me... and that (two) time(s) he got caught managing spurs

You know how it's weird that Sheffield Wednesday are in League One? If you were going to boil down the reason for that into two words, it's David Pleat. He replaced a manager that had taken Wednesday to the '93 Cup Finals (they've probably been mentioned in here at some point...) and after one alright-ish season managed to make them relegation candidates after paying much too much money for some dodgy Dutch players.

And he's a shit pundit.

(FYI, I negged you for it. Soz, but it's the law round my way.)

Baz, David Pleat is an awful pundit who refuses to pronounce names correctly for some reason, and is a horrible, debauched old relic who we could all do without.

Worse of all he's a former Luton manager. Such a nasty place, such a nasty face.

Might give you a shout closer to the time on some Friends & Family tickets again Daley, as I think the general sale ones will be snapped up in no time. F&F ones go on sale to members on the 8th, a day before the leftovers go on general sale.

Just saw this. Will be happy to help if you are interested.

It's almost as if Jack has taken over the RVP account:

:hat:

Does this count as a trophy? Can we put it on the front of the top tier in the stadium?

It's basically an unofficial trial. Loads of MLS players come over and train with Premiership and Championship clubs during the MLS off-season. MLS players get to train with a Premiership team and soak up the atmosphere a bit, and the teams get to take a closer look at any promising players.

Brek Shea is an interesting player - he's 6ft 3inches, so a strong lad, but pretty quick and good with his feet. Scores plenty of goals from midfield too. Man Utd have been sniffing around him for a while too. I don't think FC Dallas or MLS would let him go especially cheap though.

Some slack defending here, but this is what he's good at ...
