Koscielny is tailor made for European football where the games are more measured and there's lots of through balls for him to read. He's all at sea when he's put under any physical pressure which I suppose is why he falls apart like all my hopes and dreams in lots of domestic games. Couldn't fault him at all tonight though.

Proof (not that any was needed) that The Sun don't have a fucking clue what are were talking about.

A 6 for Koscielny? While Ramsey, who was on the pitch for 12 minutes and basically just got the goal, got DREAM TEAM STAR MAN and an 8.

Not much to write home about, but a massive 3 points.

Hopefully we'll now go on and top the group and avoid our annual meeting with Barca. We can then avoid the inevitable 'we nearly knocked Barcelona out, we could have actually done it if only..........' when really they smashed the shit out of us.

Yeah, that's about it.

I think Koscielny did OK, Jenkinson ran his heart out again, Arteta did OK. Santos looks completely terrible at times, Walcott and Arshavin might as well have not bothered going. The days of us passing teams to death have long gone but at least we ground out a win I suppose.

Santos looks totally out of his depth, which is amazing really as he's supposed to be the Brazilian left back and has played at this level for ages. He's so slow and hesitant on the ball and looks like he successfully avoided any salads or running over the summer too.

Yea he was purely a last-minute-God-we-can't-rely-on-Gibbs-buy-anyone panic buy. I just don't see it. He looks slow in Europe. The PL must seem a blur to him.

Gone are the days when we were so good we used to buy players and give them time to adjust before relying on them too much.

Santos is clearly not fit yet. Way, way to early to judge.

Koscielny was brilliant. He looks a much improved player in his second season - where the fuck did he learn to spray the ball around the pitch from? I didn't see that coming last season.

The more I watch Enrique the more I think he's one of the best LBs around. It's reported he cost Liverpool around £6m - did Wenger put in a bid or what?

Don't tell Rev, he'll have a fuckimg fit.

But he was outstanding tonight. Again.

He was fine - good, even. The only time I noticed him mess up was entirely due to Santos putting him under pressure.

But it was a match that was basically designed to his strengths - I've always said he's good at the stuff he did well there, it's just that frequently he can't cope in more complicated matches. Hopefully a good match will give him a bit of confidence, but I'm not exactly confident.

Friend of mine, who supports Chelsea, thinks Wenger has a job for life at Arsenal.

I argued with him that a trophyless season, finishing out of the top four, will probably see Arsenal getting someone else in next season.

Thoughts of Arsenal fans?

The Arsenal board will never ever sack Wenger.

Terrible?

How do you work that one out? I think we are playing as well as you'd expect against the standard deep sitting Stoke 8 man defence.

the players just don't seem bothered...after the goal we became very lethargic. and our attacking play without van persie is crap, lots of misplaced passes and not much happening.

the sooner we get wilshere back to give us some drive from midfield, the better.
