AFC are gutless from the top to the bottom. Not good enough, I've seen this once too often.

It always concerns me seeing Wenger sitting there like a plank and Pat Rice sitting there on his fat arse whispering bollocks into Wenger's ear. It's not just the players who are not good enough.

I hate Pat Rice. I'm not sure why, but just everything seems to scream that positive changes can be made by getting rid of him.

And if that doesn't work...

I really can't see Wenger rebuilding now, it's got worse. Our obvious and fatal flaws have been all but ignored. I don't want the bloke sacked but things have been in decline for six years and I don't now how he can turn it around. We look like a weak, unmotivated and barely average team right now.

I'd love to see some ex-players come back to coach full time. By all accounts Keown is an excellent defensive coach, I'd love to see him given the chance to work full time with the defenders. And this zonal bullshit just doesn't work, why are we still using this 'tactic'?

Only saw the first half, I'm guessing most of Blackburn's goals were from set pieces? Why can't we sort that out! I thought we looked good in the first half, going forward at least. Seems like we still have the same problems at the back as last season. Can't Keown be bought in to sort them out?

We just got beaten by a shit team. No positives to take from it.

We shipped 2 own goals and 1 that was offside. I'm not defending out performance but when your luck is out it really is out.

Positives? Good shifts from Gervinho, Atetta, Theo, Arshavin and Song. We're still in big trouble but there is hope.

It's pointless to try and take positives from the game when you've conceded four goals against one of the poorest teams in the league. Two scored by the patently overweight and clapped out Yakubu, then when he got a bit worn out we just took to kicking the ball in our own net.

Still it's good to know that Wenger can craft an XI that can dominate possession, spurn chance after chance then concede at any given moment in farcical circumstances. I don't know about anyone else but this marvelous new approach has certainly won me over.

Wenger's BBC interview is awful. I've never heard him sound so disinterested - he's dropped to cliches like "take it on the chin" without any second thoughts.

That's more terrifying than the performance to be honest.

Song scores and own goal (that he should have cleared, it was clipped in slowly) and you're positive about your forwards when you've conceded 12 in 3 games. And of course of those 3 games you've only conceded in 2. So thats 12 in 2 games [away from home].

Mertesacker looked like a sack-a...and Santos looked like he had the positional sense of the guy steering the Titanic.

Somehow you need to sort that defence. You'd be better off playing Adams and Keown, as they are now.

Surely someone needs to be looking at our defensive coaching team because it seems regardless of personel, we look a mess. There was no way Yakubu should have been onside for their first and yet there he is, 2 yards on.

Arteta looked very decent though, and Arshavin looks like he's starting to turn up.

We need a defensive coach, we've needed one for five years. Seems Wenger won't have it. Pat Rice is a yes man and a stooge. We need fresh ideas, organisation and some energy. I really do think it could be time for Wenger to move aside. Things have gotten steadily worse, we're an embarrassment at times. I know we were all placated to some extent by the recent purchases but now the feel good factor of that has worn off I'm starting to wonder.. :(

I will ask, what exactly would Wenger have to do or not do to get sacked? Even if he's had no money and has worked miracles some of the teams he's put out recently have been comically bad. It's not all about the last result, horrific as it was, just a general and obvious decline. It's unacceptable for the team to be so ill prepared and gutless.

Who would we get in if Wenger moved aside? I cant see us attracting a big name manager. I'd like us to take a risk on someone like Slaven Bilic though although I'm not entirely sure why that is.

The problem then is far too many people would expect instant results and pressure from the press would be ridiculous. In short how do you kick on after Wenger?

Actually, we always look alright with Vermaelen in defence.

Better, yes. Still not right though. Not really. We're weak and unpredictable across the entire team. Vermaelen is great and improves things but we need more than that.

This gets rightly asked but to be honest it's not like Wenger is the only manager in the world. I don't know all of them by name but then again I don't run a Football Club. The board can't be totally without options or opinions. Well, you'd like to think not.

I'm not totally saying 'Wenger out' but the team is just so short in discipline, organisation and heart and has been for some time. Great players or ordinary players, we're not getting the best out of anyone IMHO. I really do believe that someone else could turn this group around with fresh ideas, good coaching and some discipline but I don't see Wenger doing it.

Some unnecessarily harsh criticism of Santos here considering he's had a week of "pre-season" then been thrown into a unfamiliar back four in a completely new league.

People, myself included, complained about Clichy's contribution in the final third and it looks like that isn't going to be an issue with Santos.

Let's give him some time to settle in before we completely right him off.

Well last season we were told about a manager with vast experience and a record for working under a budget who would be a steady hand.

Didn't he even offer his services as a coach to you at one point?

Not sure, he was the defensive coach at one point - think when we got the Champions League final.

We looked good going forward in the first half I thought, I am less worried about our ability to score now than I was at the beginning of the season and there's no doubt we will look much better when Jack and Vermaelen get back from injury, but we just look so terrible defensively, especially from set pieces. I can really see Wenger going if we continue to lose though.
