One of my ‘twitfam’ has asked if I’d like to write articles for http://www.arsenal-land.co.uk/

Any feature ideas? I have no interest in droning on about transfer targets, tactics and so on as there are about 4,542 other people doing exactly the same all over the internet and I don’t think I can add anything of value to that. Was thinking stuff along the lines of:

  • Trading Places – abstract piece where I hypothesise upon the backgrounds, life story etc of current and past Arsenal players, in an alternate universe where they never made it as footballers and get a job in civvy street e.g. Bacary Sagna running an LGBT book society in Dalston, and his tales of rucks with the OB at Greenham Common
  • Two forra paaahnd – an in-depth review of all the sweets available from the Gillespie Road sweet man. What provides best value/lasts longest/will cause most harm when thrown at the likes of Diaby?
  • I’m not bent, honest – given the Highbury Spy’s retirement, I think there’s a gap in the market for reactionary homophobic drivel, supplanted by incongruous pictures of women in swimwear

'Horseshit & Fried Onions' - A tourist's guide to the street cuisine of Islington.

'From a Mush in Shepherds Bush' - Fake shitty football tops and badges for your hat: A buyers guide.

After all the moaning and groaning, not least from me, about Yossi I wonder if he might turn out to be a big success.

From what I've heard most liverpool fans were sad to see him go and my west ham friends loved him. He is an arsenal sort of player and so long as he can stay injury free I reckon he'll be a very shrewd signing and surprise alot of people.

He was amazing in his last season at Liverpool, I rate him although I never saw him play for Chelsea.

I think you mean second last, he was injured for most of his last season with us.

And you never saw him play for Chelsea cos he spent most of it with a cruciate ligament injury.
