Arsenal

It says it all that a keeper who's just picked the ball out of his own net eight times is our best player at the moment.

Talking of faint praise, Ramsey was head and shoulders above every other person on the park last night. England would kill for a player like him at the moment.

Agreed , he seemed to work well with Bale too, if only Wales had a couple more players close their level as they wont be a pretty decent team .

Going back to Arshavin, as there's not much else going on.....

From sachav84

Hi Andrey, one summer, I was on holidays with family on Martinique and ran into Gael Clichy, I asked him to send you my regards. I wonder if he did it.

AA: He and his wife are from this place. It is not surprising that you saw him. He didn’t give me your regards though.

From Moonray

Andrey, please tell some story (incident) from your childhood, just in a couple of words, if you can Thank you :) N.

AA: I was born.

Also, SZCZ is the man!!

Gonna be a top top keeper. He's the real deal.

To be a top 'keeper you need some different qualities to an outfield player.

SZCZ has got the right amount of mental, arrogance, confidence & self belief needed to become a top 'keeper. Obviously talent is needed too. I think it's clear to see he has that. Talent alone is not enough though, a 'keeper needs the other stuff too & in the right amounts.

I'll be very surprised if he's not our 'keeper for many years to come & if he doesn't go on to become an Arsenal legend & even one of the best 'keepers in the world.

He'll be an Arsenal legend until we fuck his contract up, obvs.

This is an amazing article. He somehow manages to talk for about five hundred words while actually saying nothing. He makes literally no point at all. He just says "Arsenal will struggle" but gives no reason at all why he's come to that conclusion. It's a total joke.

That's not fair. He does give a reason. Several in fact:

I still think

In fact, I see

I don't think

Can't argue with facts like that.

Amazing that the BBC still pay this man for what is basically a pub bore droning on and letting you know what he thinks, without anything to back it up. He just happens to be Alan Shearer.

They also have that Robbie Savage creature who said Mertesacker would fail because of his time in Madrid where he failed to get into the team.

My rule, ignore all opinion pieces on the bbc website. Like that Phil McNulty fucko, he's a moron. Tim Vickery's alright, though.

Sooo what sort of team are we gonna have at the weekend? Frimpong is back isn't he so I guess: SZCZ - Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs - Frimpong, Ramsey, Arteta - Arshavin, RVP, Walcott

Tbh I'd probably give Ox a run out after his performance for the U21s, and considering how shit Arshavin has been lately.

One of my ‘twitfam’ has asked if I’d like to write articles for http://www.arsenal-land.co.uk/

Any feature ideas? I have no interest in droning on about transfer targets, tactics and so on as there are about 4,542 other people doing exactly the same all over the internet and I don’t think I can add anything of value to that. Was thinking stuff along the lines of:

  • Trading Places – abstract piece where I hypothesise upon the backgrounds, life story etc of current and past Arsenal players, in an alternate universe where they never made it as footballers and get a job in civvy street e.g. Bacary Sagna running an LGBT book society in Dalston, and his tales of rucks with the OB at Greenham Common
  • Two forra paaahnd – an in-depth review of all the sweets available from the Gillespie Road sweet man. What provides best value/lasts longest/will cause most harm when thrown at the likes of Diaby?
  • I’m not bent, honest – given the Highbury Spy’s retirement, I think there’s a gap in the market for reactionary homophobic drivel, supplanted by incongruous pictures of women in swimwear

Yeah, that was hilarious. Nobody pointed out to him that Mertesacker failed to get in to their team because he has never actually played for Madrid. The moron had him confused with Metzelder.

They look a lot more serious and manly than most of our squad, I'll give them that (maybe not Yossi). I think there's something in that too. Santos will hurt you, you know it and he knows it. And Frimpong, if he can stay on the pitch, will put you in a world of pain you never knew existed. The all new tough Arsenal.

What's your prediction for the match Emmanuel?

My prediction?

Yes, you're prediction?

Pain.
