AA:

I don’t have an ad contract with any hair gel producer. I use water before the game. A lot depends on water chemical composition.

AA:

Just keep on running.

All good but...!

Hi Andrey! I just wanted to ask, if your daughter decided that her dream was to play professional football, would you encourage/support her in this?

Me too Dude (about arteta) I must admit that after these signings I am quietly confident that we can do big things this season. I wouldn't rule out anything now. I haven't felt this excited about arsenal for a while, sometimes it takes being knocked down to your lowest point to push you even more to far exceed previous heights.

When he's fit he'll be ok, but he has an injury record that even Diaby would poke fun of.

He's made less than 25 league appearances (or 30+ in all competitions for a team that doesn't generally offer as many opportunities to play (Cups, Europe) as Arsenal) once in six years. He may not be any kind of iron man, but he played in more games last year than Cesc, let alone Diaby.

All that said, once our medical staff have had hold him for a while all bets are off...

There's not much you can do about twisted ankles and impact injuries (unless our preparation and conditioning is woefully poor) but I do think we need to question the medical unit because our injury list is more or less permanently chronic and players seem to have either a hugely convoluted absence or come back too soon only to face another spell out. This has been the story for about five or six years, it must be a concern in the Club. It can't be brushed off as one of those things, surely.

Damn those Ghanaians, opting to play for Ghana.

Well he's represented England at lower levels.

Then again I'm sure you Arsenal fans won't mind losing another player for the Africa nations cup :P

Christ he looks excellent. Bigger and stronger than Walcott, more tricks, better feet, better passing and final ball - he effectively made all four goals. Winning the penalty was awesome. It would be interesting to see him against better opposition.

Although with Sordell's the Watford lad still had a bit to do...Sordell said on twitter he was MOM; on the basis of the highlights though Oxy gets it.

Centre back Thomas Vermaelen is expected to be back in training with the first-team squad in around a month. Arsenal.com

For us, this normally means 3-4 months

Vermaelen has undergone a minor procedure to remove an inflamed plantaris tendon from his left ankle. Arsenal.com

For us, there is no such thing as a minor procedure

This is the same treatment that he had on his right ankle in January this year and has nothing to do with his Achilles tendon. Arsenal.com

This is supposed to be the good bit of news? Did he not come back only for the last couple of games last season? 4 months after January

The action was taken after consultation with specialists who advised this was the best thing to do to prevent it becoming a persistent problem. Arsenal.com

Are these the same specialists we consulted last year? When he was out practically all season. Are these the same specialists that are looking after Wilshere? The same ones that look after Diaby? The same ones that nursed Rosicky back from the dead his injury?.
