Arsenal

I'm a bit sick of that celebration already though

I reckon we'll grow to like it a whole hell of a lot more when he's doing it because he's just scored for the Arsenal.

Realised a minute ago that I was vaguely irritated by the fact there's an international break and no Premiership football this weekend, which is a good sign (of contentment with regard to our signings if nothing else), as at the beginning of this week I was not looking forward to going to the Swansea game...

Dinobot likes to come into the Spurs thread too.

I think the penny has dropped in here, of late no-one has replied to him at all. He really is a dreadful human. I had words with that Danny fella in here the other day and I feel bad cos you can't really be having a go at someone like that.

Really excited for the Swansea game now! But we have a long wait. It's a shame how the summer went in terms of the deadline day spending spree as all of us had hoped for us to have this buzz for the Newcastle game, waiting to see all our new signings but at least we got the players in and despite all the shite I'm reading from various websites and papers about how wenger was not only panic buying but buying in the bargain basement. Now I'm sorry but he has bought alot of experience and strength. I would have liked Cahill but that's mainly because I know he is a good player but he may not have been the answer in terms of aerial ability whereas that is mertesackers strength. And Benny is a good bit of business as when fit he is a very underrated player who has a point to prove. And although we now know we had bids for m'vila and gotze turned down, arteta is a very smart move who will jump straight in to the team a d we now have enough experience that we might just see a different arsenal this season, one that may not have as strong a midfield on paper but one that will have more of a team ethic.

I had to chuckle at the Wilshere injury. I knew this would happen. It's Vermaelen all over again. Obviously he won't be out for as long, but it starts of as 'nothing serious and we expect him to be back for the next match or the match after' and then you don't see him again for ages. Fingers crossed we have him back ASAP. There's no way our midfield passing game can function properly without him.

Jack Wilshere

I can confirm I will be out for around 2-3 months! I am working hard in the gym to stay fit and I am gutted but I will be back stronger!

Well, just as well we got a couple of midfielders. Only positive I can see is that when he comes back around Nov/Dec, he will raise the spirits of the team. Often we flag near the end of the season, so it'll be good to have someone like Jack drive us forward at a time when we usually start to sag.

Pretty rubbish silver lining though -- would rather have him playing.

Barca chief Bartomeu says after seeing the 24-year-old in action on the pitch and in training he believes he is worth closer to the €60m (£53m) price tag originally bestowed on him by the Gunners.

He told Sport: "After seeing the work he's done since his arrival it is true that Cesc meets the €60m valuation Arsenal initially demanded.

I could see that coming.

If that's all some kind of weird attempt to make us like the frustrating little shit again, then... well, in my case it's worked.

I'm so fickle.

Now I just hope my newly-rediscovered fondness for the little weirdo lasts more than... I don't know, the first half an hour of the Swansea game, maybe?

Man alive, he's just become my favourite player in the history of the game:

Andrey, are you frightened of bears?

AA:

On the contrary, I like bears.

What do you think of Grigory Rasputin?

AA:

This man had a certain talent that allowed him to wield power over people. I think that he was an eccentric person.

Nobody tell me if it's not his real website.
