On the back of that 8-2 thrashing, we did a pretty good deal this transfer window. With Benayoun on loan for just a season, perhaps in the Jan or next transfer window we'll sign the one/two marquee players that we lack. I think we've got some decent building blocks to work with here.

Now we just have to win some games, and not drop the games that we shouldn't have last year.

the Yossi deal isn't a bad one either, as you would think it would be more as a backup for jack and arteta then a first team starter so getting someone in with a bit of experience who isn't expecting to play every game is a good bit of business.

I think Bendtner going out on loan is a great deal for all parties, tbh. The mix between having the long term option and not relying on someone who isn't quite right for us right now is a good one.

Even more suprising that we've signed 29 year old Arteta on a 4 year deal. No more over-30 1 year contract guff in the future?

Still, he's got Barca DNA so we've probably stuck him in a long contract to make sure we get a decent sum out of Barcelona when they decide we've had him kidnapped for long enough.
