Jerome seems to be going to Stoke, so that all-but rules out Bendtner going there. It's just if he becomes makeweight in a deal for one of the Big Players.

Chamakh going on loan would definitely be a good thing, but it's a pretty embarrassing one. I've no idea what we've done to him.

Are we really going to sign players like M'Vila, Hazard or Goetze? I just can't see it. Their clubs don't need to let them go so will quote €30-40m, knowing we can technically afford it, but there's no chance of us actually doing it.

I think we'll be bargain hunting in the Benayoun bins, but hopefully I'll be proved wrong.

I really hope so too. We only really need a creative midfielder if you're talking about bare essential signings and we've got a mountain of money. It doesn't make any sense to waste our time with Chelsea cast-offs and have a huge surplus of cash. Ultimately a huge signing would help to build a lot of bridges at the moment and although I do really like Benayoun the club would be making an almighty rod for their own backs if they sign him. The second he inevitably gets injured all hell would break loose.

Marvin Martin is the most likely solely for the fact that the others will be over thirty million I would have thought. Unless he goes back to Valbuena, but he isn't really that creative.

We're meant to have offered £35m for Goetze, so that might not be totally ruling it out.

Word is he's been getting bullied for his homosex preferences. Probably bollocks though.

Anyway, I'm hoping we can sign 'Marvellous' Marvin Martin. Mostly just for that name.

Problem is that Dortmund, Rennes and Lille are all in europe, so less likely to sell unless they get a silly offer. Sochaux are out of Europe thanks to a hilarious four nil loss at home to some ukranians, so Martin will be happier to move.

Mario Goetze's Wikipedia entry has been changed to say he plays for 'FC Arsenal London'... and apparently has since 2009.

I hate transfer day, especially when we genuinely do seem to need the reinforcements. I want to just not hear anything until tomorrow morning when I wake up and all the signings are confirmed (and good), but seeing as I'm at work, bored and have internet access it's just not going to happen.

I wish I didn't get my hopes up, either. Right now if we got in (all of most of) Santos, Mertesacker, Samba, Goetze/Martin/Hazard, Arteta and Feillaini/M'Vila I'd be made up. Being pretty damn sure it won't come to pass doesn't mean I can't hope it will, sadly...

No, don't get your hopes up :P .

At least our manager is not a media hungry cheeky chappy interviewed 17 times a day driving round and round in his fucking Range Rover hinting and waffling about any players you care to mention to him. The twitchy faced cunt.

He is absolutely mind numbingly annoying.

Why has this new left back blokey been given the No. 11 shirt?

Arsene has never been one for giving a fuck about shirt numbers. Our right back wear 3 (bit weird), a central midfielder wears 2 (very weird), and now a left back has 11 (very very weird).

At least it's not as bad as Gyan wearing No3 though.
