In addition to the 3 signings we still need at least 1 more. The big money marquee signing, a creative CM, is a must. Maybe Hazard, Gotze or M Martin even. At least Arteta.

In addition, Cahill or Samba & even a DMF. Maybe M'vila or Felaini?

Is that asking for too much?

We're not likely to be this active again, ever, so it would be nice to just go all out for once.

By the sound of it we'll soon have bought two fullbacks, a CD, two wingers and a striker. Six players. Not that we don't need them but it's quite a lot. I think the massive signing, the sign of intent type player is still desirable but by our standards we've done OK.

I don't think it's greedy to want another signing. We finished fourth last year, lost our captain, one of our most creative players, our regular left back and our reserve right back and have replaced them with Park, Gervinho, Chamberlain and Jenkinson.

Even if/when Santos and Mertesacker (another hard to spell one, it's a conspiracy :blah: ) sign we are still very short in midfield. Ramsey, Wilshere, Rosicky, Song and Frimpong doesn't strike me as a midfield to last a long, hard season.

Oh, I do want one or two more but this the Arsenal! One massively impressive CM signing would be nice, if only to show we do mean business.

The atmosphere at the next home game will be hostile enough as it is, and while i'm not saying signings should be made just to appease the fans, if something is not done to get the fans back on side things are going to get very nasty at home games.

Unhappy Arsenal fans are planning a protest to the club's board - and are making sure no-one will miss it.

One Arsenal supporters' group, Where Has Our Arsenal Gone, have paid £700 to hire a billboard near the Emirates and are also planning a protest ahead of the Swansea game on Saturday week.

The last protest at the Villa game last year shocked me by how hostile the Arsenal fans were towards the team and the manager. And things have got worse since then.

I'm glad any protests seem to be aimed at the board though. Ultimately we'll be no different from any other club and the same mugs will kick up a fuss outside the ground then hand over £70 at the turnstiles before trudging off to the nearest pie stand in their replica top. I'd imagine Kroenke would be laughing all the way to the bank if I thought for a second he actually cared.

The protest would be interesting if we smashed it out of the park on Hazard, Sneijder and Neymar this afternoon  .

Guillem Ballbag is reporting that Hazard has filled a transfer request to force a move to us. No doubt talking shit as usual.

Joe Cole going to them gives this a tiny glimmer of hope, I can't see it though.

That came from a fake account.

If it was @guillemballbag it definitely was.

Worried by how quiet it's gone. Worried by this Samba staying and Cahill to spuds. Was sure we'd still be after one.

Benayoun looking likely which I wouldn't mind, so long as we do bring that big name/reputation midfielder.

They're just reporting the twitter rumours.

And people from Twitter heard it on BBC.

Anyway I don't believe these Honda rumours. I'm not gonna let my imagination race away with me. The important thing is that we behave in a civic way and try and reach some kind of accord with his club. It would be easy to drive the price down though as his club are wheely desperate to reach some kind of deal as they are tyred of the negotiations.

Sorry.

Are we really going to sign players like M'Vila, Hazard or Goetze? I just can't see it. Their clubs don't need to let them go so will quote €30-40m, knowing we can technically afford it, but there's no chance of us actually doing it.

I think we'll be bargain hunting in the Benayoun bins, but hopefully I'll be proved wrong.
