I think Wenger try and get in Stojkovic as he second in command over the summer, only for him to stay in the J-league. I'm pretty sure Pat Rice left only to come back.

The worse thing about right now is the whole point of the new stadium was to make us able to compete with the biggest clubs in the world in terms of signings and what do we get after getting mauled 8-2? Park coming in to replace Bendtner, at a profit! What was the point of the new Stadium if all we do is stick with the same model as 15 years ago of signing unknowns and turning them into stars? I wish we would make a couple of big name signings before Wednesday, something along the lines of Kaka or Hazard, but let's face it it's never gonna happen.

As in Dragan Stojkovic? That's very interesting. I didn't know he and Wenger kept in touch.

According to Sky we've made an enquiry for a Chelsea player..........Yossi Benayoun.

Can you actually believe this? Absolutely fucking amazing.

That should set us back all of what? £4mill??

Shocking stuff!!

I saw on the BBC earlier that he'd tweeted about talking to a few clubs, and wondered if Arsenal would be one of them. He'd be a great signing, but surely we'd only offer him a short contract so he might choose to go elsewhere.

He was out for most of last season injured, so he'll certainly fit in.

Yossi Benayoun, as good as he may or may not be, would be like a poke in the eye with a shitty stick. That would take the fucking biscuit if that is supposed to demonstrate the limit of our imagination, budget and ambition. Shit is surely gonna hit the fan if we don't get some seriously good players in. I'll go to the Emirates and pull some stunt to get on Sky and ask some fucking questions myself.

He aint bad, but not really gonna make a huge difference though is he?

Haven't posted about that fiasco yesterday but here goes...

Firstly it was no suprise that we got hammered. I can't believe that anyone would be suprised. Ok, maybe not exactly 8-2 but a hammering was definitely on the cards.

I fancied 4-0/5-0/4-1/5-1.

Where we go from this mess will be clearer at 11.00pm on Wednesday. If we don't buy anyone or just fuck about and buy the South Korean or Benayoun or some shit like that then there is something seriously wrong. Either AW has gone mad or there is a huge problem with the board and AW.

I felt sorry for the youngsters. It's not fair playing SCZC in front of a defence like that. It's not fair playing Jenkinson with a CB pairing of Djourou and Kos next to him & Walcott in front of him.

Not fair giving Coquelin his debut in a team like that.

Not fair bringing AOC on for the last 10 minutes in a game like yesterday.

These youngsters need to be eased into the 1st team and to play with experienced players around them.

I like SCZC, he is and should be our no1, but deserves a defence in front of him. We are lucky he's a cocky so and so because letting in 8 goals when you're so young could kill you.

Traore should fuck off ( I beilive he now has).

Jenkinson should be cover for Sagna and maybe get a few games this season.

I've never been a fan of Djourou. He's shit if you ask me. I wouldn't care if he left.

I quite like Kos. Should be 3rd choice behind TV and new signing.

Ramsey is getting killed in there. Being asked to take Cesc's & Nasri's place but hardly having any outlets ever when he gets the ball.

Coquelin I've mentioned.

Rosicky is suddenly an important player for us, but it seems we've forgotten that he isn't good enough to be in our starting 11.

Arshavin & Walcott are both playing like cunts and don't deserve to be in the starting 11.

RVP is our best player (along with TV and Wilshere) and should have better players playing with him. Otherwise next summer it'll be the RVP saga just like the Nasri saga we've had.

Basically, I think the youngsters we have and have bought are excellent prospects but at the moment they are nothing more than that.

If we don't buy at least one CB, preferably two really, a LB, one CM, one creative player, & one striker in the next 51 hours then something is very very wrong and we better get used to the last couple of weeks because it wont get much better. These players need to be first teamers too.

AW needs a number two that will ask him questions sometimes too. I think Pat Rice wanted to go in the summer but AW is scared of a Keown or Bould.

There seems to be no discipline at the club, starting from the very top. Why can't we finish a game with 11 players on the pitch? Why hasn't anyone asked AW this question?

We've done well to get rid of some of the dead wood, and have brought some exciting youngsters in, but where's the Cahills, Jagielkas? Why did we fuck about with Matta until Chelsea came in and blew us away.

How much would Felaini cost?

Why didn't we go in for Enrique?

Why is it Monday night and we've just realised we are several players short of just competing?

You think Benayoun wouldn't have improved that team yesterday? Chelsea cast-off or not, he's better than that shit we saw yesterday.

I would have improved yesterdays team but we need something better than me or Benayoun.

You want Wenger's "super-quality" that he's been wittering on about and failing to sign all summer? Because that's not going to happen in the next two days.

Either you settle for some non-marquee signings that make us competitive or you get nothing and concede that Wenger's strategy has been spot-on this summer. You can't have it both ways.

Definitely the player I've been hoping for us to sign is a lazy, but talented on his day, attacking midfielder. It's what Arsenal have been crying out for in the last few seasons.

I'm so glad the club have finally realised.

getting somebody like benayoun is the same as getting nothing. enquiring about him with the transfer window about to close just smacks of desperation and trying to get in any old shit.

same with this korean player. does anybody seriously think wenger has been tracking him all summer?? he found out he was available last week and hijacked another teams move for him!

He's a talented player, but not exactly the kind of signing that's likely to fill the hole left by Fabregas with either the goals or assists required. He's also old, injury prone and unlikely to muck in or be a presence where needed. Great. Also, much like the Park signing it's just a case of finding out someone's available for next to nothing then trying to get them in - it's just muddling about with no plan at all. There's apparently 20 people employed by the club to sort these things out and this is the sort of half baked crap they serve up? God I hope it's not true.

Edit: Clearly just a decoy as we've had an eye watering Goetze bid turned down apparently.

if that's true then its horribly depressing :(

i really do think the board made a mistake in selling the club to kroenke. it should have gone to usmanov and dein to be run like chelsea - a rich mans plaything.

actually, why was there so much animosity towards usmanov getting involved in the club??

Perhaps if we put Arshavin, Benayoun and Chamakh on the pitch then the opposition will be so entertained by the fact we have the ABC of lazy footballers they'll just give us goals.

Also, this was funny last year.

I'd love to know what has given you the impression that he's lazy. He always put a shift in for us.

i don't think the problem is whether he is lazy or not, i'm sure he'd do a much better job than twatface arshavin.

we need a marquee signing to replace cesc and nasri and benayoun isn't it.

Park, Santos, Benayoun, Goatze, Hazard..

Would that sort you lot out a bit?

I'd take Cahill over either of those last three, and I don't think many Arsenal fans would be upset with that. I think Hazard AND Goetze is wishful thinking.

By the way, your signature is ridiculous. Champigns doesn't even make sense :P
