I think double-figures, just.

It's heresy in this thread, I'm sure, but I'd rather have Shawcross. Partly as he's better on your team than against him, but Incident aside I think he's got a lot of promise as a defender and is already good. I can't see Cahill getting that much better.

Incident aside, he's shit.

I'd rather have Woodgate.

Bolton won't get £12/13 mill minimum, no way. Not unless any of the clubs above us are involved, which they aren't. Therefore Bolton will have to take around the £9/10 mill mark or they'll lose him on a free. Of course our offer was too low, but Bolton can't demand a great deal more than that.

Yeah at this point I think it's probably us or no one, unless Man City want to buy him purely so that we can't.

Bolton are in the same position we were with Nasri, only they can't double his realistic price with a Man City tax like we did.

Be interesting to see if UEFA actually do anything over City's bullshit £400 million naming rights. Ultimately fuck all, I imagine.

Wasn't it Liverpool's new American owner who asked on twitter, "How much was the losing bid?" and even though he said it in jest, I think this is a question UEFA need to ask. Everyone is going to think the financial rules are a joke if they give City a free pass. I may be biased though.

It's not just naming rights though. I very much doubt the dealis broken down as £40 million per year eather, it probably starts at less than £40 million increasing over time. The issue will be if they don't achieve the success to match what they class as fair value for each part of the deal.

Gotta hand it to AW. He really aint taking any shit here.

"That number is completely wrong," said Wenger. "If Gartside can say I am lying I am ready to confront him."
"They do not need to sell the player, they can keep him. If you ask do I want to buy your house and you are not happy with the price you say no, that's it".
"Why should you feel insulted? I don't understand. If the player is not for sale they can keep him. I don't understand the problem".

Owen Coyle came across as a right cunt in his interview on Sky. I mean, bringing it up in the first place lacks class but we could've just as easily come out in public all laughing and sneering about their OTT valuation of Cahill but we didn't feel the need. And their chairman apparently pasting a fans reaction on twitter, Jesus  .

It seems, according to sky sports news, that we are about to raid Everton for Jagielka, Arteta & Felaini.

I would be happy with that, I mentioned to my brother a while back that we should go for Felaini. He's young, gets stuck in, chips in with the odd goal & wouldn't cost the earth either.

(it's all probably a load of bollocks though and we wont get any of them)

Would completely fuck Everton's season up though. That would be their midfield pretty much gone, their defence severely weakened, and of course their attack isn't that good to start off with. I don't think they'd go for it, particularly at this late stage in the window.

I would like that too and I agree over Felaini, I've always thought he had some steel about him and he's no mug on the ball. Mind you, two central midfielders? That would give us Arteta, Felaini, Ramsey, Wilshere, Song and Frimpong. Is that one too many?

This Park kid that is signing has got to go home to Korea in two years time to muck in with some military service apparently. Also, I was going to suggest the other day that we just chuck a load of money at Everton to get those three but thought it was nonsense so didn't bother. They're completely skint so would probably be tempted.
