Because the club is being run like a family business - they have been holding out to get the most money. Reinvesting the money has never been a top priority.

Thing is your new chairman a fella said there would be plenty of funds available.

As far as I can see you've only signed Gervinho, and some kid from Southampton (forwards, right?) - while losing your most creative midfielders...and you'll fix this by trying to get Scot Dann.

Are Ramsey and Wiltshire going to hold it all together?

Surely you need an experienced Midfielder and Defender to steady the ship.

The Metro are so reliable, and it's the first time I've heard of Eden Hazard joining Arsenal, so I think it must be true!

Pretty sure Lille ain't selling and the player isn't fussed about going this summer either. Mata is more likely I guess. I just hope we do something positive soon to lift the mood, because if not then the slightest thing that goes wrong will generate bedlam. If we sell Cesc and Nasri, don't spend big to replace them with at least one midfielder, and then results don't go too well, it really won't be pretty.

I realise this is Arsenal we're talking about, but there is surely no way we'll sell Cesc and Nasri and not go out and make some serious signings.

Even AW would find it impossible to even try and put a positive spin on no further signings.

Selling them 2 & not using the money to strengthen all over, will almost certainly mean we finish out the top 4 & don't have a decent run in this years CL which it seems is the minimum we should be achieving.

Of course we'd like to win the occasional trophy or two but I would say a top 4 finish and a run in the CL is higher up the list of objectives for some people in the club.

He didn't ring any bells with me either, but from his Wiki page I was reminded he did well in the UEFA cup final a couple of seasons ago.

That's the only time I've ever noticed him though. Apparently he's played in the Copa America too, but I didn't watch that.

This Jadson rumour has come from L'Equipe. Not sure how reliable they are. I've heard of Jadson, but never seen him play.

So Liverpool signed Enrique, I didn't realise Damien Comolli was making all their signings - I really get the feeling that guy plays Fantasy League a bit too much.

What's the current word on Cesc? All this stuff about him funding the move himself and payments in installments doesn't fill me with confidence that the move will go through.
