Hey, I'd be pleased with that as a signing. Just as long as the whole thread DOESN'T subscribe to the arseblog style of writing his name as chamberpot or some bullshit like that. Alex Chamberlain. Is that so fucking hard?

I think we'd all be pleased with that signing alongside some others, but it feels ridiculous that someone's wasting time and energy on signing a kid that's not going to get into the first team for three years (if ever) when the problems that need addressing are far more immediate.

If we do sign Chamberlain and Campbell and sell Bendtner and Eboue for the fees that are being suggested Wenger will barely have spend anything this Summer right? I'm hoping he's going to spend that magical 35million on 2 super quality center backs...

I'm a hungry, hungry man and I'll eat up any fucking signing at this stage and say it's delicious. However, he looks like a monster. Real hideous looking kid so he is. The aesthetics of the team are very important to me.

If I didn't know he was 17, I'd swear he was in his mid thirties.

Shall we have a sweepstake on what his first long-term injury will be? I'm going knee, out for four seasons.

I'm going for a replica of the injury suffered by star midfielder Murt Nadje in the 2014/15 campaign on Football Manager: two broken legs suffered in a domestic incident. Out for three years.

Arsenal thread is by a long margin the most amuzing football thread. Keep it up chaps.

Glad it's entertaining as this club is slowly but surely turning into a fucking pantomime.

We need a centre-back, urgently. Wenger agrees. What do we get? Two wingers=£25mill. Unreal.

We could even live without a centre half I think. Far more pressing is a ball winning midfielder, a left back, and a competent striker. What we've added yet another potentially decent in a few years perhaps wide forward is anyone's guess. I don't want to sound churlish, but it's for a lot of money too. It's easy to think Wenger hasn't learned a thing from the last few years when he does things like this.

I'm waiting and hoping till the 31st though before I totally flip out.

If Nasri goes we'll spend big on his replacement, same with Cesc. I am now convinced that this will happen because if it doesn't then the Club is utterly broken from top to bottom.

I'd imagine they will get replaced but probably not this summer. We're more likely to hang on for a year to make sure we get value for money, like we did when we sold Adebayor and bought in Chamakh. It's also why I think there's no chance we'll get Cahill at the moment too. There's no way we'll part with upwards of £17m+ when he's yours for nothing in less than a year.

I believe chamberlain is nasri's replacement sadly, just as I see jenkinson as eboue's and Ramsey will be cesc's. Wenger is replacing our players with even younger players. I'm starting to question the ambition of the club. They still have a month to change things around but I'm not very optimistic.

I have to admit I do get suckered in every transfer window, but this time I really think we're gonna be busy in the next 3 weeks.

We could see Cesc, Nasri, Eboue, Bendtner & Almunia leaving with at least 2 or 3 more signings coming in.

I really believe it will happen this time....really I do

I think it will be Mata for Nasri, Eboue doesn't do much that needs urgently replacing so Jenkinson is fine and Ramsey can fill Cesc's boots. I'd like a new CM with some bollocks and a new CB, I think we'll sign players. I need to believe that.
