Feeling more or less the same as last year... except... I'm tired with the Nasri & Cesc situation and I think we'll really struggle to finish 4th with our joke defence *sigh*

I just wish for once we could go into the start of a new season not worrying about the lack of transfers and sodding crippling injuries.... and y'know... look forward to the games ahead. <_<

If we sell Nasri and Fabregas we need to spend the money on two or three really good players.

Within a week as well, having failed to all summer. And there's nothing on the horizon either, is there? For all Wenger's talk about stuff happening behind closed doors the only major signing is Gervinho who was in the press for weeks beforehand which implies that stuff isn't as behind closed doors as Wenger thinks, and there's only Jagielka out in the open which seems dead.

He might have deals lined up and is waiting to try and get the price down, as usual, or for the Fabregas windfall but it's a very risky game. That journo bunch were talking about United on Sky Sports this morning, about how they got their business done like a shot. It can be done. We just never do it.

He might, but when was the last time Wenger signed a major player that wasn't all over the papers/blogs for weeks beforehand?

All there is right now is Jagielka and Mata and both those deals look dead.

I will be really fucked off if we sell Lansbury whilst feckless pricks like Diaby and Rosicky remain in the squad. At least he cares.

And he's got a massive tattoo so at least he looks like a modern footballer rather than a special needs or a lesbian.

Had to laugh at that Wenger biographer who claimed we'd buy three players last week. He excused his shitty prediction by essentially saying "well, I was still right, it's just Arsenal decided not to buy anyone in the end". Opinions from now on: even more disregarded.

Hmm, if you watch the replay he was coming to cover, then retreated. By the time Nani broke he was well out of position. Not 100% his fault but you don't fuck about like that if it's the last minute and one defensive mistake could mean that you don't win a tro... ah.

I think Clichy was more to blame than Kompany was. He had a good 7/8 yards start on Nani, but then he suddenly had one of his last minute moments, you know the ones, the 'oh no, there's that round thing again, it's bounced really high, what do I do again? I know, I'll run away in the opposite direction and hope nobody notices'.

He dropped Kompany right in it if you ask me.

It does genuinely look like he sees what's about to happen and runs away scared. Crazy.

As ridiculous as he is, he's probably still a better left back than a bag with £7m worth of £50 notes in it, which is what we're going to have to play there against Newcastle.

Well, he left to challenge for cups and trophies (his own words). Instead he's already contributed to United's already massive piles of silverware. I am currently experiencing a feeling known as schadenfreude.

God, we're cutting it a bit fine for next week... where are our signings, Arsene?
