Urgh.

Sat in the Birmingham end-had to listen to the likes of "there's only one Martin Taylor" for 90 minutes and couldn't shout at Howard Webb who had a shocker or when Nasri scored his beauty.

We never looked like winning though-the formation was all wrong and meant that Cesc had to constantly push up and play behind Bendtner meaning that we had no real spark in the middle. Having said that, Diaby had a fairly decent game and seemed most likely to provide something.

Theo, Denilson and the two full-backs were anonymous and the gaps in the formation led for a pretty dull game.

Not all over though-we now HAVE to win all our games left, but we're in it so long as the other two drop points which at some stage one of them has to. I'm more worried about Messi being rested for the Barce game at the moment and what a hammering could do for our confidence.

Oh, and Almunia was fucking woeful-his distribution was pathetic and gifted two good chances to them.

Urgh.

Our only hope now is a 1-1 draw between Utd and Chelsea next week. The match ends with a Fletcher knee high challenge on Anelka by the touchline, his momentum takes him through Anelka, off the pitch and straight into Ancelotti's ankle. This sparks a mass brawl. Berbatov bites Lampard in the neck while Rooney runs the length of the pitch to impale Terry in the eye with a corner flag. Rooney, Terry, Fletcher, Anelka, Berbatov, Lampard and Drogba (who was clothes lined by Giggs) are all out for the season. Oh and we beat Wolves 11-0 to level goal difference. Keep the faith!

That's the spirit.

I never expected us to be in with a chance so this is all a bonus. I knew we needed a goalkeeper so no surprise with Manuel flapping all over the place. Gutted to concede so late but there are so many positives this season it's hard to be too down.

EDIT: On a side note the ref was amazingly bad. Is he really going to the World cup?

It's not all doom and gloom, Gooners:

Thierry Henry has admitted he is not relishing the Champions League tie against his former team Arsenal.

Henry became a legend in north London after eight trophy-laden years with the Gunners and is set to face them for the first time since leaving for Barca in 2007.

The France striker, 32, concedes the first leg of the last eight tie at the Emirates on March 31 will be particularly difficult.

He told Sky Sports: "I'm not saying I won't try to fight or whatever because that's the way the game is. But I don't want to play against Arsenal.

"It will be weird for me to step on the pitch, even if it's at the Emirates and not Highbury, with another shirt on."

When asked if he would celebrate a goal, he added: "Forget about it. No. I do not want to play against Arsenal, simple as that.

"The bond that I have with the Arsenal fans I will never get anywhere else. Because I don't think I will ever play for another team for that long.

"Eight years - I don't think I will be with another team for eight years, I am getting old now."

I'm sick of that cunt. He has stitched us up every time he's refereed one of our games this season. I'm talking about big games as well. In a way I'm glad to hear his ineptitude extends to yourselves as well, particularly after our league games with you this season, but it's shame because I'd like to see you win it rather than one of the other two.

He was utter dogshit today; booked two of ours within 15 minutes for two soft challenges/accidents that merited a warning a most. Instead he must have been trying to impose himself on the game or something but got the decisions wrong. He then spent the rest of the game ignoring the little fouls and niggles from both sides and generally getting things wrong-we didn't even hear him blow for the Diaby 'goal' and I certainly didn't see him give the foul before the goal was disallowed.

Wtf? No wonder the Indy was sold for a quid. That quote is like a week old.

The article is from Monday but I hadn't seen it mentioned in here and thought it might cheer some of them up to know how much love Henry still has for the club.

The whistle was definitely blown - and some time before the goal - because I was thinking why all those Arsenal guys were cheering.

To be fair, it was as jammy as fuck. I dont think Super Kev knew anything about it, it seemed to rebound off of him following Diaby's clearance and loop perfectly to beat the keeper. It would probably only go in one time in a hundred.

Still, Almunia is a dodgy keeper. For a club with a tradition of great goalkeepers like Bob Wilson, Pat Jennings and David Seaman, it always strikes me as odd that you havent had a top drawer keeper since the spunky wonder retired. Even Lehmann was flattered by the brilliance of the other ten players on the pitch with him. Wenger should offer Bolton a few quid for Jussi Jaaskelainen in the summer, he is only two years older than Almunia, and infinitely better. I cant believe the lad has been at Bolton all this time, he is world class.
