Pretty good weekend for us. I still think winning the league is totally out of the question, but it's amazing that it's still technically possible. I think next weekends game against Birmingham will be a massive. We'll be missing Gallas and Vermaelen, plus Birmingham are on a bit of a roll so it won't be easy.

I think the defensive midfielder position is something people can be converted to fairly easily. As long as someone's a good tackler, has a high work-rate and keeps the passing simple they do well.

I saw Cana play earlier in the season and didn't hear his name or see him for 90 minutes. Since then I've not noticed him on any highlights either. The Denilson one keeps coming up, unfairly. He's not amazing and he's made me face palm a few times this season but the bad feeling towards him is ridiculous. He's not fully developed as a player, that's not his fault. I'd give him more credit than I'd give to Walcott.

I wasn't comparing him to Denilson, so I'm not totally sure how this is relevant. Also yeah, as Daley said, everyone was going on about how essential he was because we didn't have a DM and he was MEGA AWESOME, usually basing this opinion exclusively on Football Manager stats. He's probably better than Denilson (but then Denilson doesn't usually play as a defensive midfield 'screen' anyway), but he's really not that great and is definitely not better than Song. Which was my original point.

Cos you if you can't/haven't then you're no good to 2010 Arsenal. I was watching United yesterday and Fletcher looked good for them, as usual. He's certainly done a number on us, more than once.
