Henry returning will be nice for you guys.

I would have given you guys a better chance if the second leg was at the Emirates. I agree with Nate that Barcelona are beatable over two legs than just one game. Not sure Arsenal have the right style to do it. If Arsenal have a lead coming out the first match, they not the type of team going to the Camp Nou to defend it.

If Arsenal can come out of the first game with a 1-0, I'd fancy us to score an away goal and then who knows?

Stopping Messi is gonna be fun. Lets hope Clichy is awake.

Not a great draw, but at least it's not Man U. Despite Barcelona constantly stealing or attempting to steal our players, I'd rather go out to them than Man U and the two legs will contain some fantastic football no doubt.

Your defenders should know all about Henry. Xavi looks doubtful for the match and Ibrahimovic hasn't done much for the last 3 months. Two players to stop if Xavi isn't fit will be Iniesta and Messi. Plus Clichy will need serious protection from Arshavin on the left side with Alves bombing forward. Will Gallas be back for the game? Just don't fancy Messi vs Campbell. As he will drift in as a striker sometime during the match.

There's enough flair and quality in Barca's team to frighten you rigid, but I think Cesc, Arshavin, Nasri, Rosicky and maybe Walcott and Eboue will be fancying a slice of them too. Eduardo might get a look in cos we'll need to take any chances we make. It could come down to whether Toure or Song have the better 180 minutes and if Almunia decides to put in a decent shift.

Moving onto the big one (West Ham)

"Cesc is back in the squad," said Wenger. "He had a test on Friday and it was positive.

"Rosicky is back in the squad and [Alex] Song is available after suspension. On that front it looks quite good."

Barcelona are clearly the biggest challenge, if we beat them we really can beat anyone afterwards. So that's good.

I don't know what everyone is so worried about. Their defence is poor, so we just need to shackle their attackers, nick a 4-0 win at home then score 4 or 5 away goals to coast through.

Easy.

That's the kind of attitude I like to see!

I'm really looking forward to the tie, could be epic. But, if we do make it to the final (big if, I know), I don't think my little ticker could handle a man utd v arsenal final.

we'll have to find a way to harness the power of SAFs chewing, and use it for good.

NOT EVIL!

It's definitely set up for one of the big names to grab the headlines.

Messi is the obvious one, or even Henry. Let's hope though that it's Arshavin, Cesc, Nasri, Rosicky or even super Nick!

This.

Right.

I'm in Spain for the second leg. No where near Barcelona, but fuck it.

Any of you lot who could get away tickets thinking of not going?

Big ask, I know, but if anyone is interested I'd be after 2.

Not able to help mate as I have bugger all away credits but FYI Arsenal will receive 4600 tickets at £70 a pop. I did look into it but flights out on Monday and back on Wednesday would cost me £300 on easyjet. Plus ticket. Plus accomodation. :)

Wenger could buy a 16 year old for all that.

Might need accom, but unlikely.

Might only need the one ticket-the other half doesn't fancy the trip from La Linea to Barcelona. But then I'm thinking of flying from Gibraltar to Barcelona or Madrid and then getting the train.

So if you know anyone...?

EDIT: Just checked a map, it's only 200km closer to get to from where I'll be in Spain than if I went from (home) Sheffield. Difference being I can go as I'll be on Easter Holidays.

EDIT EDIT: I also reckon I need to start borrowing your membership to help with your away credits-there are loads more away games than home games I can get to.

Barca have been pretty poor in the Champions League this season. Taking this into account and after a two legged Fifa 09 simulation with my brother, we draw 1-1 at home and go out on away goals after a scoreless draw at the Nou Camp. Probably should have said 'look away now if you don't want to know the final score'.

Bull. Shit. Decision.

Yeah it's one of those ones that doesn't stand up to Pub interrogation though. If Franco had stayed up it would have been the same tussle you see every week, but he went down like a sack of pink shit and Vermaelen did, albeit in the mildest fashion, have his arms on him so the argument of "He put his hands on him, the striker was through on goal - red card. End of" is hard to foil.

Fucking annoying.
