I've always thought he looked a quality player, but well impressive of Nasri getting 3 in 4 in the CL this season. Does he normally in a different position in Europe or what?

A lot of people have been quick to forget that how good Nasri was last season, especially when Cesc opened his knee against Liverpool and Samir played down the middle. It also seems to slip people's minds that Diaby broke his leg in pre-season. He is top quality player who hasn't quite hit his stride this season, but that goal is real reminder of just how good he can be at his best and let's hope that he can keep improving until the end of the season.

Although he will no doubt be overlooked due to more pressing headline material, Rosicky had another really positive game I thought. We've got enough cover in midfield to be able to let him get used to 60 minutes on the pitch rather than 90 which I think is sensible given how his previous, perhaps premature, returns from injury have been short lived to say the least. He is another fantastic player, quite apart from his passing and shooting ability he is just so tidy on the ball and if we can keep him fit with this softly, softly approach we will have a real ace up our sleeves for the run in.

What can you say about Eboue? He may go down like a sack of shit, but that boy has got some grit to be playing with that kind of confidence when his form, and the fans, were so against him as recently as last season.

The crowd reaction to his goal said it all: everyone went mental and the crowd sounded like they all screamed his name when the announcer did the first name, blank thing they do.

EBOUUUUUUE!!!

He's an utter, utter legend, personified in that 80 yard sprint he did to get in the space for the goal.

Agreed. As soon as he came back from injury you could see what we'd been missing. He's really busy, tidy and doesn't mind a tackle. He's also got a great strike on him.

I thought Nasri was great last night and gives us a real alternative to Cesc in the middle. The run for his goal was awesome but the finish was better, IMO. And Vermaelen is the defender we've been looking for over the last five years. He's awesome and can also play a bit. I think he did well last night in a number of ways, not least carrying Campbell to a certain extent cos the big fella had a right shaky one.

Went to the game last night, had a box seat which was nice, included a dinner at the dial square restaurant which was really good too. First time I've done that at the Emirates, it's all very civilised - maybe a bit too civilised for football.

Anyway, great game - real joy to watch.

I agree with the rest of your sentiments but thought Rosicky had a pretty poor game, he hardly seemed to move - particularly in the second half, Sagna got the ball on a number of occasions and was looking to make a forward pass only to see Rosicky either behind him or alongside him. Perhaps Wenger shouldn't have played him so far up the park, he didn't seem comfortable in that position at all. As soon as Walcott came on we looked far more dangerous down that right-hand side.

I hadn't seen much of Bendtner in the flesh before and was really impressed, not sure if he was trying particularly hard after his misses on the weekend but he never stopped, his goals were nothing special but his work rate was extraordinary.

He is always like that. He plays that role really well. He just needs to sharpen up his finishing and he will be as good as he thinks he is.

I heard the words "superb block by Vermaelen" at least five times in the commentary last night.

Funnily enough whenever I see Bendtner play in the flesh his lack of a change of pace seems much more apparent than it does on TV.

Does anyone know if Bullard is going to be back for Hull?

Does anyone know if Bullard is going to be back for Hull?

Not sure but

Brown has been left reeling following the news Jimmy Bullard and Nick Barmby, two highly influential members of the squad, have been involved in a training ground altercation and had to be pulled apart by shocked colleagues.

It is the last thing Brown needs ahead of the visit of Arsenal. Games against Arsene Wenger's side are tough enough, as Hull have discovered to their cost in the past, with a full strength and harmonious squad to choose from.

But the threat of a dressing room split just makes the challenge 10 times harder and this is what Brown must hope to avoid now because there is a genuine danger of some players siding with Bullard and others deciding to support Barmby.
