Arsenal

He's right in some ways though. Building from a terrible team he's made us into a very competitive club that consistently performs in Europe. That gradual improvement is something that someone like Man City will have to wait a good long while yet to achieve, and is much, much harder than winning the League Cup.

What's annoying is that he must surely realise that winning actual competitions is what the fans and players desire and demand. It can't simply be enough to get in the Champions League every year and do OK, the ambition must be to compliment this with winning a cup and winning the league too. If we don't have the squad to do this, then well, sort it out.

"It's very important that we win something, we're here to win trophies, but it depends on what you call trophies,” he explained.
I guess we ought to be happy with the third place trophy*.

*There is one, right?

I can stomach losing today so long as we go down fighting and walk off the pitch with some self respect. If we buckle I'll be tempted not to watch again this season, as nancy as that sounds.

We'll probably do OK for 17 minutes until their first goal, then Denilson'll sit off at the side somewhere playing Mario Kart DS and leave the rest to collapse by themselves.

Whilst that's an amusing mental image, and despite the fact that I've given up on Denilson as anything other than a reserve, he can't shoulder all the blame. He let us down against United but he does tend to put more in than a lot of them. If Walcott showed half as much as Denilson does then that would be a start.

Arsene needs to go, I think. You can blame the players but it's all so wrong out there it's impossible to know where to start. Look at our front line. They look like twelve years old. I think that the expectation that this lot can stand up to Chelsea is unfair. It's all massively wrong.

I think Arsenal are playing really well, it's that Drogba is just too good. Plus, anything in the air gets won by a Chelsea player.

The truth is that United and Chelsea know exactly what they have to do and they do it. They suck in poor old toothless Arsenal, break on us and score and then sit about laughing. Fair play to them.

To beat Chelsea you have to be physical and need to be direct. Our forward line of tots isn't going to scare Terry and his mates.

I think I agree with Dude. Wenger's one of the best manager's in the world, and he's forged that reputation with some great campaigns with Arsenal. But with his insistence on not spending any money and simply paying no mind to either to experience or to whether his team can physically even compete with the rest of the title challengers its hard to see him winning a Premier League or Champions League trophy any time soon.

Not replacing Adebayor and relying on a crock striker has cost Arsenal. Van Persie as good as he is can't be relied on. They need a right winger too who is a goal threat. When they were most successful they had Ljungberg and Pires scoring goals from midfield. Walcott is useless.

I'd love someone like Milner. Although we haven't got any money so we can forget about signings.
