We showed a lot of bollocks to come back from two goals down; there's no way this team would have managed that last season.

I must say, at two nil down I wasn't really worried. It was pretty obvious we'd go on to win, probably by the required two goals, and that's saying something.

I doubt that. It was a poor tackle and he deffo caught the lad a nasty one but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as people are making out. I'd quite like to see it again though.

It's one of those where the more you watch it the worse it gets. That the ref had such a good view of it may preclude any action being taken though.

The thought of either of them having to fill in for Gallas for a long time is even more scary when you realise just how real shit is about to get when you look at our next few games...

Villa (A)

Man Utd (H)

Chelsea (A)

Liverpool (H)

It's such a crucial period. We could win all those games or lose all those games and end up a few points clear at the top or out of the title race and back in fourth (or in the fight for fourth, even). Realistically I expect we'll get about 5-7 points from the four games and be a few points off the top but still in touch at 2nd/3rd.

When are we expecting Song back? I assume he should be back and ready for Chelsea and Liverpool?

Cameroon play Tunisia today. If they lose they are out. If they draw or win the next round is Monday, then Semi-Finals on Thursday then the Final is Sunday.

Come on Tunisia. Sorry Song.

So he'll definitely be back for Chelsea, he might be back for Utd, and if we're really lucky he could be back for Villa.

Generally I think we can cope without him but given the other midfield injuries at the moment it would be a massive boost to get him back. Rosicky, Denilson, and Fabregas are all only just back from injury and we're relying on them to play every game at the moment, and it looks like Diaby is out again after last night.

Hopefully Nasri and Ramsey should be coming back by the Chelsea game, but we'll probably have to get through Villa/Utd with very limited options - i.e. the same squad as last night but probably without Diaby. It's still a decent 11 but leaves us with hardly any experienced quality on the bench.

So I wouldn't be surprised if we put out a pretty weak team for the FA Cup game.

He's actually got worse, IMO. My absolute preference for spending any money (HA!) would be on a blinding keeper. Almunia should not be at the Club in any capacity.

I used to think the oppisite (we needed a new keeper but was at the bottom of the list).

The sad fact is that's no longer the case. At all. The affect he has on the defense in front of him is so insanely damaging at times.

I can't remember where I read it (may have even been here) but someone said that Fabianski gets better with every game that Almunia plays. Very true.

Stats don't tell you everything but Almunia has the third worst shots to saves ratio in the division of all the regular keepers.

Yeah, that about sums it up. Any other club, I'd have winced but Bolton can go fuck themselves.

It's been hilarious for them over the last five years. They've kicked us from pillar to post, gloated about it in the press and loved every minute of it. Tough old Bolton, soft southern Arsenal.

Of course, any decent human would feel for the lad involved but what goes around comes around. Take your medicine.

It was at least repeated on the arseblog twitter...it made me do a lol. And a nod.
