Yes, we were pretty shit today. We were lucky to get away with a draw. A lot of players failed to show up, really...fuck, all of them did. Also, Almunia's insanity is only getting worse but I can't blame him for trying to murder Traore near the end of the match. He was really poor today. So poor in fact that I wanted the fish headed dinosaur on the pitch instead.

Here's hoping Man Utd drop points at Birmingham.

Yeah, a draw isn't a disaster at all really, especially as we could/should have very easily lost.

Without dissing UTD too much, I'm not really worried about them. I think they'll drop loads of points from now until the end of the season. Definitely the most avarage UTD side for many years.

Chelsea are the ones we need to worry about. I still think the league is theirs for the taking, but as long as we stay within touching distance you just never know. I'm sure at the beginning of the season if we were offered 2 points behind UTD with a game in hand and 3 points behind Chelsea after 20 games we would all have taken it.

Things looked pretty shit after the Sunderland defeat and then Chelsea smashing us 3-0 at home, but we are somehow still in with a shout.

IF we buy a striker in the window and he comes in and hits the ground running, IF Chelsea struggle without their African players, IF Chelsea continue to drop points here and there, If UTD continue to be average (for them that is), IF Cesc gets fit and stays fit, IF RVP can get fit and play a part in the last 10 games or so, IF Gallas and Vermalean stay fit, IF we don't miss Song too much (never thought I would ever say that about him a year or two ago by the way), IF IF IF, lots of IF's but you just never know.

Anyway, we'll know a lot more after these games.

Without Song, Cesc and Van Persie we don't look good. If just one was out I think we'd be OK, I mean Ramsey seems an adequate replacement for Cesc for example. I just wish Wenger would except the fact that half the team are always going to be injured and buy some more players!

If everyone was fit and had a few games under their belt I think we would have the best first 11 in the Premiership, but it just never happens. Having said all that, points wise I think we are doing pretty good.

Jesus Christ :(

...if it's true of course. The other rumour is we're after Saha.

Seeing as he's French and loves to get injured it seems a sure thing to me. Thing is, IF he stayed fit I think it'd work out great, you know, as a stop gap for the return of RvP and to a lesser extent, Bendtner.

Well, yes, I can kind of see your point but I'd much prepfer some decent cover for CB. This just seems like an easy, and crucially, cheap opition.

It's the same kind of punt we took on the giant fish headed frenchman from Man Utd and look how that worked out.

EDIT@ tonyplay

Yeah, I know, but it's a lesser of two evils for want of a better term. He's past it, too.

We'll just have to see how it works out. I just can't see it working out well.

I would of course prefer us to buy a top notch CB, but Campbell is ok on a free for probably fairly low wages. Plus he will be great to have there in a semi coaching role for the kids coming through in training.

He is and was a better defender than Silvestre will ever be, but you're right it is the lesser!

It's odd-reading about it has got me excited. What's not to like about this deal for us?

Plus, I'd fucking LOVE to see he do at job on the Spuds at The Lane.

Stat: In the 135 games he played for us, we only lost 15.

I hear you and I oddly felt the same reading it but...

Stat: Motherfucker's old as shit.

I'm not sure. He left two years ago and last played for Notts County.

And? He's free. He was a monster of a defender and was instrumental in the last great Arsenal team. Even if he plays a couple of games as a sub to give Big Willy a break and gives nothing but support to the young 'uns, he's got a shed load of experience winning stuff that we haven't got.

Hence why I also wanted Paddy back as well as Saha. But that's also so I can do my Alan Partridge impression when the crowd have to shout his name out during the team-selection announcement at The Grove. :(
