Jesus that felt good. Arshavin's goal was just fucking delicious.

It was also good to hear that Wenger went mental at them during half time. Really fucking shouted at them. It's time someone chewed these lads out for playing like they did in that 1st half.

On my way home from the game now. Amazing scenes :D The place went apeshit after Arshavin's goal, great atmosphere amongst our fans :omg:

You guys really sung your hearts out, could hear you all through the first half!

I love that channel 5 chant btw :)

Let's be honest fellow Gooners, that was a stone-wall penalty in the first half, no? Gerrard's rep helped (or not) him out quite spectacularly there. We were also pretty dire in the first half, but that Arshavin goal was an utter peach.

Theo looked absent from the game, passing and first touch was shit. Sagna looked composed, Almunia needs to go.

It was, but Gerrard obviously has picked up a reputation as a diver amongst referees now, which doesn't help his cause. Boy who cried wolf, basically.

I loled.

Though a United fan and entirely aware that another win will draw Arsenal and United level on points, happy that Arsenal won today, and hope they continue doing so (even though they weren't at their best today). I've always been a fan of the way Arsenal play, and really hope they continue to do well - though Van Persie's injury has been a bit of a blow. Some of the signs this Season have certainly been positive - and with the likes of Fabregas, Arshavin, Nasri, etc. they're certainly capable of doing well.

Bring back the good old days when United and Arsenal dominated the League - I miss the Keane and Vieira days!

Yeah, let Ian Saint John keep talking himself to tears. :blah:

There was a silence at one point that felt like about a minute. He was on the verge of crying and no-one in the studio could summon up a comment. Everyone just looked at each other.

All of a sudden Arsenal appear to be in the title race again.

Bizarre.

Incredible how eleven points behind, dead and buried can turn into six points with a game in hand so quickly.

Imagine if we could actually get the best out of Arshavin. I mean, he was shit really. I'm not sure if it's the system or he can't be bothered. As for Walcott, I feel quite angry towards him right now. Total waste of time, gives us absolutely nothing.

Does anyone know what Almunia was actually trying to do for their goal?

Didn't look like he dropped it, try to punch it or try to catch it. What did he actually do?

Good to hear that AW had a proper go at them at half time.

Can anyone remember one this that Walcott did in the whole time he was on the pitch.

Imagine we lost, I would have really had a moan then.

If it was in FIFA it'd be dismissed as a bug. Therefore...

It was just a bug.

Good win, although we didn’t exactly play that well. We looked more like we did at the end of last season, rather than how we have looked at the beginning of this season, if that makes sense.

I can't work out if Arshavin is one of those players who just pops up for a few seconds and does something amazing (like Ronaldinho in his prime), or if Arsene if just not using him right. As for Walcott, I just feel he needs a run of games, he'll probably get injured just as he starts to get good though!

I think he thought he was playing vollyball and was going for a spike of some sort.

Really, the man goes mental once the ball is in the air. It's a shame really, he's having a torid time of it this season and if he's lost my support, shit is really looking very bad for him.

It's a bit bit of a grey area, generally those sorts of things are given as penalties - unfairly I'd say. What you see a lot of currently (and it's by no means just Gerrard, Eduardo did it against Celtic earlier in the season, Rooney then did it against us at OT) is attackers pushing the ball hard beyond a challenge so that no defensive contact can be made, then launching themselves at the defender to try claim a penalty. It's relatively easy to spot as the ball is well beyond their control when they collide with their opposite number, IMO if you don't try and play the ball meaningfully then it shouldn't be foul, you're simply looking to create a situation that will result in a penalty. It's just another form of diving.
