I guess we don't know how much money is actually there and at least we are going to buy in Jan. That's a...positive...I'm...sure...

But, yeah, I don't think we should go fucking nuts just because we lost to man city in the carling cup.

Edit: Shit ain't looking great at the moment though, I know

I fully understand that we don't want to go bust and really I think that whilst Wenger is a stubborn old so and so, he has his hands tied. All that's left now is to turn the club over to some moneybags tosspot who'll fund our wildest transfer fantasies and remove all interest I have left.

Poor result for the fans who went to the game, but not unexpected given the team selection. I don’t really think things are that bad at the moment though, I certainly feel a lot better about the team than I did this time last year. My main concern is Almunia’s continued poor form and lack of cover at CB as with Djourou out, you’re looking at either Silvestre/Senderos if Gallas/vermaelen get injured (which they surely will).

Err, so Gallas, Sicky and Troare got injured yesterday?

Oh dear. Who the hell is actually fit now then? We've barely got any defenders and now we've got no properly recognised strikers. I've said it before and I'll say it again, our biggest problem is not a lack of experience, not a lack of big money spends or any sort of tactical ineptitude from Wenger, but the number of injuries we get every bloody season. How often do we play our strongest 11 in back to back games? Hardly ever. How can the team mature together if they never play together?

In all fairness it's only Chelsea who have been lucky with injuries this season. Liverpool's problems are well documented and if Arsenal had as many defenders out as United god knows who you would have at the back.

Clichy, Traore, Gibbs, Gallas and Djourou are all injured.

Leaves us with The Verminator, Silvester, Sagna and Senderos. Hardly great is it?

And as for Liverpools 'injury problems', are you referring to the fact that they've had their only 2 world class players out at times and brought someone who was injured in the first place? A paper-thing squad isn't the same as having an injury crisis.

United I'll give you, although Sir really should just admit that Rio is fucked, borderline finished and that Vidic is just having a 'mare of a season. What was the excuse yesterday; a non specific 'illness' again?

I hope the injuries ain't that bad. Especially Gallas' hamstring. Song will be back from his suspension and Diaby is due back too, which will be handy.

I hope this win can get the lads confidence back up and we can get a good roll going during a normally horrible time for us.

Oh aye, but our next game is 'Pool away. Chances of getting 3 points? Not great with these injuries.

I'm not saying you don't have injury problems, just that they aren't really any worse than what other clubs have to deal with.

Quite a few defenders and midfielders have been injured either at the start of the season or during it too. United have had injuries to Fletcher, Berbatov and a few other players. I'm not downplaying your injury problems, certainly no other top team will have to cope without their best striker for a few months which is a massive problem.

Vidic has been getting back to his normal self ths last few games, I can't imagine any scenario where he would be left out so as to leave Neville and Fletcher on the right side of our defense. Apparently it was flu though.

I never said our situation was worse, but it's not great.

And my point still stands about Liverpool; they can only really 'miss' Reira, Gerrard or Torres as the other players don't have enough impact on the team to be missed.

Are you saying Reira has an impact on the team? Or was that taking the piss?

He's a bit shit isn't he?

Unbelievable!!

The Frenchman went into Saturday's 2-0 win over Stoke City with eight walking wounded: Eduardo (thigh), Abou Diaby (calf), Nicklas Bendtner (groin), Theo Walcott (hamstring), Robin Van Persie (ankle), Gael Clichy (back), Kieran Gibbs (foot) and Johan Djourou (knee). By the time the final whistle blew at Emirates Stadium, that total had soared to 12 after Tomas Rosicky (groin), Emmanuel Eboue (leg), Armand Traore and William Gallas (both hamstring) all suffered knocks.

"We pick up more injuries than the other big teams, that is true. You cannot say there is not a reason for it but we have not found it yet."

Anybody that's read today's arseblog will have already seen the above quote from Wenger.

It's something a few of us have commented on before. I'm gald that he's at least looking at the possibility that something at the club, be it in training or otherwise, could be causing our players to turn into dust after playing a few games.

It really, badly, needs to be addressed.

I've always assumed its mainly due to us having predominantly young players, players under 25 seem much more injury prone than those over 25 - look at Gerrard, he only played sporadically in his early twenties. Maybe a combination of more physical strength and a bit of experience helps avoid serious injury.

Fair comment but Gallas, Van Persie and Rosicky (to name a few) are all over 25.

Gallas generally isn't though, Rosicky has had long term injury problems and RVP is only just 26, no? I dunno, we have been very, very unlucky with injuries over the last two seasons - it seems we get hit in specific areas too rather than just a few players out in each area of the field.

That's out biggest problem I think. I also think it doesn't help players like Nasri and Walcott development that they are not coming into a settled lineup.

Still at least Arshavin gets to play in the center. He looks so much more deadly there than on the left.

Arshavin looked good in the centre. He was a bit rusty to begin with and his first touch wasnt great in the first 20 mins, but he definitely grew as the game went on.

He was involved in everything of merit (the goals and penalty etc). I think he looks cracking in that position and i hope they keep him there until Robin is back

Also when is Wilshere going to get a run in? I think Arshavin and Wilshere would link together brilliantly
