So, just heard on sky sports news that RVP says his injury isn't as bad as first thought. I hope that's the case.

I too would like to see Arshavin play a bit further up the field. Just for a little bit anyway, see how he fares.

He'll be ace. The only reason against him is that he's a bit short, which is hardly the end of the world.

Ankle ligaments torn, apparently. 3 months out.

4-4-2 with Arshavin/Eduardo up front? Arshavin taking the Bergkamp role?

Eh? No, I hope we stick with the 4-3-3 that's served us so well this season with Eduardo slotting into RVPs role. If we lose Eduardo we might be in trouble, is Vela back? Let's hope RVP's ankle responds well to placenta.

That's all one can really hope for in life.

So do you Arsenal types think there's a real chance of Eduardo joining us struggling red folk in January? £10m seems awfully cheap but I guess it depends on just how unsettled he is. Are you concerned? He'd be very welcome but it seems like Arsenal could do with keeping him at least until the summer.

I'm loving the mad 4-3-3 right now, with two attacking midfielders, the fullbacks getting forward, and the centrebacks usually having a go occasionally too.

The thing about the placenta, 'massaging the ankle with it' is all over the internet, probably a joke.

Suspect it depends on Chamack, although I think £10 million is way too little for a striker of Eduardos ability. You spent twice that on Robbie Keane. Robbie Keane.

Not a cat in hells chance.

International break story - at its most credible it is a leak by his agent to get contract talks started and sorted sooner rather than later.

EDIT: They'll get Pavlyuchenko anyway. Then probably try and sell him back a few months later.

6 weeks isn't bad really (I was preparing myself for 'out for the season')

It is a bit of a disaster 'cos RVP's been playing superb lately, but we've got Eduardo who can slot straight in, he just needs to play like RVP has been and we might jusr get away with it.

I hope it will be six weeks as we rarely ahve a layer come back on time.

video of it here. On 59 secs the Italian's right leg/knee connects with RVP's right ankle and you can see he twists it.

Could have been worse, then again on another day you get straight up.

Eduardo to Liverpool?

Absolutely no chance of happening.

The funny thing about Arsenal is, they've got players who could play anywhere across the front three, maybe even back in the midfield. Obviously you shouldn't mess about too much, find where the balance is and stick with it. Ultimately though, slotting in Eduardo for RVP in this sort of system won't break anything, because it was so flexible to begin with.

Kieran Gibbs was taken off injured during England Under 21’s clash with their Lithuanian counterparts this evening.

Gibbs returned to his usual left back birth after previously being deployed in the ‘number 10′ role behind Andy Carroll last time out. Just 21 minutes on the clock Stuart Pearce was forced into a reshuffle after the Arsenal man signalled he was unable to continue. Ryan Bertrand replaced him.

Is this the greatest news story ever?

Eboue - I'd love to be the new Eddie Murphy

Emmanuel Eboue would love to be the new Eddie Murphy!

The Ivory Coast star likes to celebrate his Arsenal goals by dancing but he would have pursued a career in one of the other arts if he hadn't made it as a footballer.

Eboue wouldn't be the first player to make it in Hollywood - Vinnie Jones and Eric Cantona have both starred in successful films - and the Arsenal man knows exactly who he'd like to emulate.

"I would like to be like Eddie Murphy, the comedian," admitted Eboue in an exclusive 'Spotlight' interview on Arsenal TV Online.

"I love to watch the movies and I always say that after football I dreamed to be an actor. I say that all the time.

"I would love to be an actor in Hollywood and why not? I always try to make people happy."
