What did he do? I read on another forum that he celebrated in front of our fans?

Ex-players always score against us though, always.

Well, that's a fine header from Emmanuel Adebayor - but he could be in all sorts of hot water for the celebration. The former Gunner sprints the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the visiting fans. He gets a yellow card - but it may get worse. Foolish, to say the least.

What a cunt.

This whole game has been a farce though. Could we not have had these results before the transfer window closed?

Wow.

Avoided all scores from yesterday and watched MOTD earlier...

Hilarity aside, and I think Almunia was at fault for at least 2 goals...Adebayor should be on a ban.

Eduardo "dives" and gets two matches out...yet we have Adebayor who could have blinded a fellow professional and then tries to incite a riot? All in one match.

10 game ban for me, it's sickening. Afterwards he says "Sorry" cos he knows he has to. Make an example of him I say, it's wrong on all counts. "Professional" footballer? Right.

Doubt he'll get a punishment for the celebration as he was carded for it, so the FA cant do anything about that IIRC though he might get a disrepute charge and fine. As for the stamp/kick it was terrible and he should get a 5 game ban for that.

Big Al's been having a horrible start to the season, alright. I still don't blame him for the Diaby OG against Utd, that was all Diaby, but he's made a few other clangers so far.

I can't really comment on the match. I've been very ill the past few days and one of my symtoms was pretty bad photophobia which ment I was unable to watch match or MoTD. Seems like I was lucky.

Still, from what I read of the blogs this morning we weren't THAT bad. It isn't the end of the world. We were looking a lot worse at this stage of the season last season. But I don't want to have to say any of this again. We have a decent run of matches coming up and I want us to rack up some serious points from here on out.

I have seen the .gifs of Ade's actions. What a legend, eh? I will, as an Arsenal fan, always love him, no matter what.

I hope he gets strung up by the F.A. I also hope I win the lotto. I know which of these will happen first. THE WISDOM OF CROWDS!!!1

Also, it's nice to hear Rosickly was looking good when he came on.

I might be wrong but watching MotD last night I think 3 of the goals came immediatly after Clichy lost the ball. It highlights one of the problems with a 4-3-3 that is not having a winger to track back, especially when the rest of the midfield don't look overly keen either.

Van Persie's goal was absolutely brilliant though. He shows flashes of genius sometimes but you just know he needs a proper centre forward in front of him.

As a Utd fan - its was amazing!

To be honest I could not care less about him running over to the away fans - they are all adults and this notion of 'incitement' seems to be an excuse to act like a cunt without any repercussions. If you cant take it dont dish it - I saw people throwing shit and rushing the stewards because Ade was celebrating - reminds me why I am so happy to be in America without such Neanderthals - why its tolerated in football I have no idea.

The studs on Van Persie for me was the serious issue.

Yeah, the stamps on RVP and Fabregas are the main issue for me. Yeah he shouldn't have celebrated like that because it makes the stewards' job harder, but at the same time I find it difficult to lay all the blame at his feet and not condemn the fans' reaction of "OH MY GOD IT'S ADEBAYOUR AND HE IS CELEBRATING A GOAL IN FRONT OF ME I NOW HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO RIOT AND KILL". I mean that's bollocks, surely? Have some fucking restraint you bunch of shit-brained apes.

THAT bad in that we played well and still lost? surely that's worse than playing badly and winning?

How many points have to be pissed away before there is a problem?

Well, of course it is and I'm not for a second even suggesting that playing well comes above winning but when you lose, if there's positives, take them.

If we played well and lose then maybe that means the problems we have aren't that great and maybe can be addressed by the next game. Of course, that mightn't be true.

Hell, even we played shit and won we'd still all complain about something. Of course we'd all be a lot happier.

If we lose another game, or draw a load, then we've got serious problems. Right now, I'm not going to go mad. Let's see what happens during the week.

Seems like we are succumbing to the same lapses in concentration and erratic goalkeeping that cost us Last Season. It will be nice to see us play when the whole team is fit, with Nasri, Walcott and Arshavin in the starting line up, like that will every happen.

The stuff that pissed me off most about Adebayor wasn't the stamp or the goading, it was when he passed 4 of our players to get into the box and deliver a perfect cross which Wright-Phillips should have buried. I don't think I saw him do that once last season for us and he quite clearly can when he wants.
