As long as enough supporters turned up on match days or paid for Sky to watch it, I really can't see why they'd care. It would get advertised and presented as something really amazing though so I'd guess it would get the support. Thinking about it, it would be pretty great. I know I'd rather watch the Arse play against the elite every week rather than Bolton. If the best teams are getting further adrift, you might as well go the whole hog and do it properly.

That's not going to remain the case in the longer term though, Citeh will barge themselves in at some point and Italy is about to undergo a major change monetarily which could see the whole league having more cash to spend. Spain below the top 2 is more variable as well, so how do you determine who gets in and who doesn't?

Great goal from Nick there.

This Djourou operation really shows what faith Wenger seems to have in Senderos and fish head Silvester. Which is insane. Really insane.

I wouldn't mind a situation where it's Senderos Vermaelen\Gallas pairing at centre back. But the combo of Senderos and bi-pedal fish man as a forced first choice pairing could lead to a lot of pain.

Wenger was willing to sell Senderos in the window, he must know Silvestre is shit, playing Song at the back will disrupt the midfield as it means moving him out of there so that only left Djourou. Why we didn't buy a CB is quite incredible.

We're in the same situation in midfield if Song gets injured.

We do have cover in all positions but not good enough cover if we are serious about winning the league or CL.

That's International football for you.

Cesc was injured before the break then he played for Spain

Arshavin went off against Utd 'cos of a little niggle / injury then plays a whole 90 mins

Rosicky has been dead for 18 months then he starts for Czech Republic

Club managers all over the world must be pulling their hair out

I can't help thinking though that Ferguson, for instance, would never have allowed such a situation to happen with one of his top players. Arshavin clearly shouldn't have played.
