More or less like sloth from the Goonies?

Less. His head seemed more or less the right size too. It was odd.

I would have tried to have a chat but he was failing to impress the girl and my epic banter probably would not have helped his cause.

Read this - now. A great article and, just think, if we win the league/CL this year then he is a genius. If not he's an 'idiot' and everyone will make a mockery out of him. Reading that makes you realise what this man has done for our team, our club, our Arsenal and what he has potentially exposed himself to. It makes me proud and optimistic. He could have been a Galactico - something that no target (except maybe Villa) has been able to resist. But he wants to win with Arsenal, with Bendtner, Denilson, Eboue, Song, Wilshere, Walcott, Fabregas, Almunia, Arshavin, Van Persie, Eduardo, Sagna, Clichy, Gibbs, Gallas, Djourou, Silvestre, Vermaelen and Pat Fucking Rice because he thinks that he can.

Look lads, every fan loves their club and will therefore get behind them but this is not Sam Allardyce or Phil Brown we're dealing with here. We need to win big this year so let's be positive. In Braveheart, Mel Gibson lifted his kilt up and he might have got annihilated (not sure, it was a shit film so I don't recall) but at least he got his balls out. Arsene is William Wallace: big hairy testicles hanging out for us all to see and ready to, quite literally, take one for the team. Arsenal will be here long after he is gone but he wants us to witness something special under his reign.

I'm excited. We might lose tomorrow and I'll look like a right twat. But if Arsene and his players are willing to put themselves in that position then so am I.

:lol::(

I love it wiener!

It's the new season, we should be full of positivity, hope and support in the face of all our perceived problems. As fans, deep down, we should have that childish belief that we can beat everyone and win the league. Sure, it won't happen but fuck that. Let's get behind the team we fucking love.

Not that I'm accusing anyone of being unsupportive, this is more a rallying call.

WE ARE THE ARSENAL!!!

Amazing interview with Wenger in the Mail / Times yesterday. Could not have happened with any other manager. Well it seems that any furhter transfer activity is dependent on the result against Celtic (which I fear the foreign lads will underestimate) but regardless this could be the final year of Le Experiment - possibly sigificantly Wenger turns 60 this year.

COME ON YOU REDS

Will they? Surely Champions League is pretty important to the foreign guys as much as anyone, plus Celtic are a world famous club despite being fairly pants at the moment.

But people continue to accept that 50 people in the world own 40 per cent of the wealth. Is that defendable humanly? Can you accept that when two billion people have two dollars to live per day? I don’t believe that will be accepted for much longer.
But if you look at the world and what is happening at the moment, the biggest issue is the need for a world government. There is no other way out.

Winning with Arsenal isn't enough, Wenger's lining up World President as his next job.

After we were knocked out of the Champions' League, I was gutted and angry. I thought maybe the time had come to get rid of the great man.

But then, as I looked around me a couple of months later, I realised how foolish I was. My friends who support various other teams by and large had genuinely terrible seasons, spent big, rotated managers like a diver's bezel and ended up with at best mid-table mediocrity, at worst, relegation and humiliation. Those fans of the latter are in despair while my team got to the semi-finals of the greatest club competition in the world and on their day, they play like frickin' angels blessed with football awesomeness powers.

Yeah, they're not perfect, Arsene's not perfect but we know what heights we're capable of. Lets get behind the team, get behind the boss and lets play some gosh darn beautiful football. Again. Bring it on!

I was thinking of the Scots versus Sassenachs aspect - the Celtic lads will raise their game 1000% for this one.

Anyway a great performance at Goodison - watched Sutton Utd thump Margate 4-0 earlier than back for this. However poor Everton may have been, I thought there were encouraging signs of greater resilience before the first goal.

A memorable birthday  Or maybe :) is more appropriate (senza beard).

Song was excellent today. Him and Denilson in midfield provides a lot of solidity, as even though Denilson isn't the most fearsome player, he is an excellent tackler.

Good job guys (although it has to be said Everton's defence was shambolic).

What's the source of this meme? It makes me laugh even though I have no idea where it comes from!

Watched Plymouth vs QPR with my Dad today (He's a Rangers fan) and then listened to this in the car on the way back home. Fucking brilliant result!

Just got in from the pub and I threw on MOTD to catch them blame lescott for "4 or 5" of the goals. I heard wrong right? There's no way they could blame him for any of those goals.

I am very drunk so I stand to be proved wrong.

Anyway, fantastic performance. Just what we needed to do and then some. Extra joy came from watching the game with an Everton fan.
