If Adebayor isn't careful he'll get stuck at Arsenal and it won't be only the fans that think he's a cu*t, Wenger probably thinks that already and the players will too. I mean he was in Manchester yesterday sorting this work permit so he obviously is on his way out of Arsenal, to be there next season would be a disaster for everyone.

If he stalls and stalls and then signs for City, he's in danger of pissing their fans off before he's even got there.

He should just sign for them, take the money and stop being a cu*t.

Or the £25m deal will fall through, no-one will want him to be here and he'll go to, for instance, Juventus for £8m at the end of August.

And i can't see Juve or anyone else for that matter giving him anywhere near the 170k that's been mentioned, so again he should just sign for City, take the money and stop being a cu*t.

Im going to the saturday of the emirates cup. My mate who i'm going with is a big arsenal fan (and actually from london) and I'm a forest fan but have always had a soft spot for arsenal, since i was given that yellow and blue strip in the late 80's to wear for sports day. Then they beat liverpool to win the title in that kit in one of the first football games i remember watching...and i have yet to see a game beat it.

Anyhoo...just wondering what the emirates is like to get to and around?

as long as you're public transporting it it's a doodle. 3 tubes stations (arsenal (picadilly), highbury and islington (victoria and silverlink), and holloway road (southbound only... plus drayton park, if it's open) and and loads of buses up and down the holloway road.

and there's a concourse around the entire stadium.

Four and a half hours till actual football.

tick, tock, tick, tock....

Oh and Adebayor did get booed quite roundly. It was when he scored in one of the pre-seasons, I think it might have been a pen in the emirates cup or something, and he ran to the corner flag kissing the badge.

I thought it was a pretty bad decision on his part, but still the concept of booing your own team has always seemed bizarre to me.

Half-time at the Underhill Stadium for our pre-season against Barnet. 1-1 for all that matters.

Rosicky started and looks surprisingly sharp, passing and moving well. Definitely feeling much more positive about the prospect of him playing a real part next season.

Vermaelen also started as CB alongside Gallas, he certainly is not 6'1" as was suggested in various corners. He's a bit shorter than Gallas by the looks of things. He's been beaten in the air a few times by Barnet's 40 year old Paul Furlong and hasn't looked overly imposing on the ground either. Let's hope he really kicks on before the season starts.

Really disappointed that we conceeded from a free-kick - when are we going to fucking sort it out?

Arshavin/Djourou/Gallas and Silvestre all played the first half too. Djourou at RB, Silvestre at LB. Not much of interest there, all rusty to various degrees as would be expected.

Wilshire hasn't really got into the game much. Sanchez Watt looks decent up front and picked out Arshavin with his cross for the goal. Mark Randall reinforced my opinion that he isn't going to make it at Arsenal.

Anyway Jay Emmanuel Thomas, Jay Simpson, Coquelin and Nacer Barazite are coming on amongst the 10 other second half subs so it will be interesting to see how they do.

I went to the game too, was great to see Rosicky looking so sharp like you say.

Every year the first team look poor against Barnet and it's down to the kids in the 2nd half to put in a decent performance, but it was the other way round this year. I thought the second half was a very poor show, with little to get the fans excited. Still, it was the first pre-season game, so it should be treated as a run-around and nothing more.

I'm delighted Adebayor has gone. I'd have been delighted with £12m, but the fact that City have paid a reported £25m is unbelievable. Their fans won't take too well to him if he starts trying to engineer a move to Chelsea or Milan 12 months down the road. From what I have been told, Adebayor's agent asked Wenger if he can stay at Arsenal another year so he can get a move to Chelsea (apparently to replace Drogba who will leave next summer). I can't believe his agent had the balls to ask! Cunt!

Ouch. Horrible timing for Nasri but you do have a lot of quality midfielders. Rosicky, Cesc, Arshavin, Denilson, Ramsey and even Wiltshire. Then there's Walcott and possibly Vela to play wide?

Plus if you buy a defensive midfielder to play with Cesc in the centre you've got plenty to fill up the rest of the midfield.

I still think counting Rosicky in any list is ambitious, even if he is up and running at the moment.

Nasri will be a big loss, he is really useful to have on the bench even if he isn't totally ready for first team stuff yet.

A friend texted me the news just now. Pretty shit really.

It can be argued that we have some cover for him but it's still a massive blow, in my opinion anyway.

We really, really need a DMF. Nothing new there, though.

The Nasri news is a big blow, I was hoping he would really come into his own this season. I guess he still has time, but with him and Eduardo out it does limit our options. I'm still hoping for a new DM and an Adebayor replacement....

Injury prone player gets injured at club where injuries are pratically required.

Of course, some injuries are inevitable but the regularity and recurrence of injury at the clubs is out of hand and needs to be addressed.
