He's scored 14 goals this season.

What more can you ask of a striker who starts most of his games on the bench?

This. He's not nearly as shit as people would like to think, and he's only young - he'll get better. I'd much rather him in the team than Adefuckingbayor. What a pathetic pathetic dive. Please God, if you're up there, make him leave.

Yeah, I know. I was thinking about how we really don't look like we care. It seems to mean nothing to the players, the two exceptions probably Gibbs and Bendtner. I mean, Bendtner is a right prick and his game is lazy but he looks like he actually wants to make a difference. Most of them are going through the motions and hopefully the crowd will vote with their feet at some point cos it's disgraceful. Wenger has hit a wall in my opinion and doesn't know what to do next.

Precisely. Bender comes on, runs the fuck about, gets involved, tries to win balls, especially in the air, scores one and could've had another.

Adebuysnore comes on, runs about, makes one nice pass, rounds the keeper for a goal and fucking dives. What a cunt.

Get him the fuck out.

According to tabloid reports, Theo Walcott's bottle was placed at the side of the pitch, where a Portsmouth fan took it, unscrewed the cap, and spat in it.

The Arsenal striker was playing during the Gunners 3-0 win at Fratton Park a week ago.

Walcott told The News of the World, "I drank from my water bottle just before the start of the first half before throwing it to the side of the pitch.

"I was told afterwards that my dad had to phone Paul Irwin, our player liaison officer, to get a message to the bench because someone took my bottle, unscrewed it and spat in it. That's just not appropriate, not nice to see."

Shame really, you play some lovely football at times but the entire spine of the team needs replacing. Shopping list: A massive brute of a centre back, a centre midfielder who is prepared to smash fuck out of the other team and a centre forward who'll get 20+ a season, David Villa or someone.

And a new manager who impresses the importance of hounding the other team whenever they've got the ball. Wenger's time has passed.

Yeah, David Villa, Chiellini and Marcos Senna should do the trick. That'll be 80 million pounds, please. :)

I'm sure when I looked at the finances from the last supporters meeting we had 90mill cash.

Not that it matters. He'll spend 5mill on some fucking kid from France.

Actually though we looked good up until they scored. Gibbs, Walcott and Nasri in particular looked very lively. Same problems with defending set pieces, not closing down around the box, missing chances and Diaby giving the ball away though. As others have said I'm glad we lost in the end as surely, surely it will mean key signings.

Yeh you were playing pretty well. Hammering away and creating what should have been a good few shots on goal. Not sure what happened.

Nasri's a very good player when he's running at defences and picking out through balls, but as far as steel in the middle of the park's concerned he's the next Patrick Viera about as much as Alan Smith was the new Roy Keane. You need someone capable of defending in midfield and protecting Fabregas more than anything.

Men against boys today. Disgraceful.

Wenger has lost the plot. I only saw him get up about twice, he just sat on his arse and did nothing. Even at 3-0 down we kept the same rigid 4-5-1 formation. Fucking comical.

Wenger has this idea that it's all about bringing on young players. He can no longer use the excuse that they are young and inexperienced. Cesc started his 200th game today FFS.

You have to spend to win. Those that don't spend get left behind - it's as simple as that. Wenger has said he will only bring two players in during the summer - TWO! We need at least two sodding goalies as ours are Championship standard. In fact, he could make 7 signings and it still wouldn't be enough as 60% of the current squad isn't good enough.

If nothing else I'm enjoying your anger at the team as it increases my chance of being a cheeky bastard and borrowing your card next year for games.

Same goes for everyone else who is gonna begrudgingly renew for next year-if you don't want a home ticket I'll probably have it.

Shambolic.

Embarrasing.

Shit.

It was pretty painful to watch today, but this is surely an over reaction. We looked good for the majority of the game... obviously it's scoring goals that counts but with a bit of luck we could have been 4-1 winners instead of losers. This was still vastly better than the depressing 0-0s from earlier in the season, at least we looked capable of scoring.

This is everything that is wrong with Arsenal. Not having a go at you but this post sums it up.

We didn't look good for the majority of the game. We started well but when they scored it was game over.

Yes scoring goals is important but not conceeding them is pretty important too. We have let in 4 vs Liverpool, 3 Vs Man Utd and 4 yesterday. You will win nothing defending like that. Nothing. Outscoring teams does not work, ask Kevin Keegan.

I prefer a 0-0 to yesterday. At least you don't get embarrased and you get a point too.

Wenger has one summer to fix it or next season will be my last as a season ticket holder.

We didn't look good at all. People are kidding themselves when they see us passing the ball side-to-side and backwards and think that's good football. Opponents can just sit back as we slickly knock the ball around as it's not a threat. What does passing the ball 27 times achieve when it's intercepted or knocked out of play? I'd rather have pass-pass-BANG-Goal! We need to be more direct and need to buy players that will enable us to do it.

Chelsea are accused of being lucky and jammy with the deflections etc. But we would also get jammy with deflected shots and rebounds off posts if we took a fucking shot!

We let in four against Spurs also. At home. That's just not on.

Yeah, sure we started well yesterday but, as Daley said, once we let that first goal in the heads dropped. That's a big fucking problem. Add to that a defense that's a mess and we've got problems. Also, the manager playing players out of position is madness really.

The summer can't come quick enough and with it policy must change. While some have said we need 3 or 4 new players (or even 7), if Wenger manages to buy two established, mature and ready players over the summer (preferably a DMF and a tower of a CB) we should be happy with that. It would do the world of fucking good and I think it'd might suprise some how much of a difference that would make.

Sure, some of you might say we need a new striker and goalkeeper and I'm with you on a new striker but I think we need to get realistic. We'll be lucky to see two proper established players arrive in the summer.

Now all we can do is pray...hmm, I seem to remember saying the same thing last summer...

If the amount of people at the stadium who keep saying "I'm not f-ing coming back next year" carry their threat out, they won't be able to give tickets away

I really must mention Diaby's amazingly bad performance yesterday too. It was amazingly bad.

Also at one point in the second half we had Bendtner left midfield, Nasri central midfield and Fabregas off the striker. What. The. Fuck.

As if it is not bad enough we are poor we have players out of position too.

He fucking is. Myles Palmer is a massive twat who likes to create this air of being "on the inside" which he patently fucking isn't.

Arseblogger, whether you agree with him or not, presents his blog as opinion. Palmer posts utter rubbish presented as fact. Some of the stuff he has written in the past is fucking laughable - made all the worse with that embarassing bold all the key sentences shit he does.

I seem to remember him saying something like "Henry is a fast winger, and not a lot else. Mark my words, he will never be a goalscoring striker in the English Premiership". Nice one Myles.

He's a cunt. His blog's shit. Just because he wrote a (rubbish) autobiography about Wenger (which bombed) he thinks he is some kind of Arsenal oracle - which he isn't. He reminds me of Ron Atkinson when he was a pundit and he used to make up ridiculous, utterly wrong points just to be different and to suggest that his understanding of the game was just so deep that no one else could be pick up on the subtle nuances which were so clear to his wise old eyes. Cunt.

Between Arseblog, A Cultured Left Foot and Gunnerblog I think you are getting the best of the Arsenal blogs.

Incidentally, did anyone else think the guy from France Football on last friday's Arsecast was absolutely amazing. Loved his chat. Loved it.

Personal preference at the end of the day innit? I just find the constant "boiks" and "c*nthounds* too much. And I don't think Palmer presents stuff as fact, but I can see that might be how the tone of his blog comes across.

Anyway, football is all opinion. So Palmer called Henry wrong. So what? I said Adebayor was shit and he got 30 goals last season. I still think he's shit. Palmer has also said that there are two many french and african kids in the team and they won't win anything? Do you think that opinion is wrong?

As for yesterday's score:

I'm waiting for a Steve007 diatribe!

whoever said buy Tevez speaks the truth.

I realise that this game showed up again our defensive weakness and lack of killer instinct, but all I was saying was we have still improved a lot from earlier in the season. Today was similar to what we've been like for most of the last four years, but earlier in the season we had reached new lows by not even looking like a good attacking team.

Also, we weren't just passing it sideways etc yesterday, the reason we looked good is that we were causing them problems and made some good chances.

It just seems like a couple of weeks ago everyone was talking about how well we were playing after our poor first half of the season, and a lot of that is still true. We will have a pretty excellent attacking line up next year (although a lot depends on whether Adebayor starts playing like he can or not), and there's no reason we can't be challenging again with a couple of good signings. Even our defence isn't that bad when everyone's fully fit, the single acquisition of a top quality defensive midfielder would make a big difference on its own.
