Probably sees the flashes of brilliance like his backheel touch to Cesc in the opening goal.

Watching his role at the game yesterday he was a useful outlet, when playing 5 across midfield he's the only option on the pitch for a longer ball.

Wenger does seem to favour the lone striker role and although he can frustrate in equal measure he did well enough and definitely shown enough this season to get another year IMO.

But he's totally crap at holding the ball up and seems to miss most long balls knocked his way. Adebayor is must better in the lone role than Bendtner I reckon and even that's saying something.

I agree with this.

I think that if Bendtner was partnered alongside somebody who wasn't Adebayor, and not used as the sole striker, then he'd flourish. I can see him and Eduardo forming a pretty solid partnership if he manages to get his shit together.

It's easy to have a go at Bendtner but I think that he's having a good go at fitting in with the rest of the team - the earlier point about his part (s!) in the 1st goal is valid. Also agree about putting him with Adebayor, utterly pointless.

Indeed. Bendtner has that arrogant cunt streak to him that seems to dominate Adebayors playing style and attitude towards the game. If the two were seperated, it can only benefit Bendtner.

Here's hoping some Italian team comes in with another ridiculous bid for him. If there was one player in an Arsenal shirt that I want to see the back of, it's Ade.

Me too. But who's the striker you'd have first on the team sheet for Wednesday? Adebayor.

Has Eduardo been injured lately? He looked really lively in his first couple of games back.

Yeah, he picked up a groan (groin) injury.

I forget against who now though. Pretty sure he was in the squad for M'Boro though and is 'free' to play.

Don't get me wrong - Ade ahead of Bendtner at the mo, just think Bendtner has shown enough this season to keep him on the books and hope for a Flamini/Ade-esque blossoming next season.

Completely agree.

He might need 3 chances (and clear one's at that) but he's bagged 12 this season I think now. Which is handy return for a bencher.

Sure is - and after the recent performances of Song & Eboue I think we should all learn something about perserverance, even if it is really testing at times. Fans are fickle though - we all fucking loved him when he scored the winner against Spurs last season, straight off the bench :D
