I would say:

Almunia (if fit)

Sagna Toure Djourou (if fit, Agent Silvestre if not) Gibbs

Walcott Denilson Fabregas Song Nasri/Van Persie

Adebayor

Can't decide between Nasri and Van Persie.

I reckon Eboue will feature in the away leg, replacing Walcott who will come on as a second half sub.

What an Orange cunt Phil Brown really is. I hope they go down.

"Fabregas faces two charges of improper conduct relating to his conduct on the pitch following the game. One charge concerns his behaviour in coming onto the pitch after the final whistle, the second charge relates to an alleged spitting incident. The charges are based on submissions from Hull City and video evidence.

So Arshavin starts, thank god, but Song doesn't. I imagine he's being rested for the man utd CL game. Sagna is also on the bench which makes sense - he didn't look to hot against Liverpool.

Almunia, Eboue, Toure, Silvestre, Gibbs, Walcott, Denilson, Fabregas, Nasri, Arshavin, Bendtner.

Subs: Fabianski, Diaby, Sagna, Vela, Song Billong, Djourou, Adebayor.

Like I siad in yous guys thread - he seems to be fine. He put in 45 minutes today and seemed fine to me. I pray he's fine, Agent Silvestre scares me.

Edit: Just missed your edit there Phresh - oops!

I'm nervous already for Wednesday....

I'm not sure how I feel. I think that on our day we've got a chance. Nasri and Walcott are crucial. I just hope that we don't fall apart and it's all over before the Emirates tie. I must say that Djourou is my choice alongside Toure. Gibbs is getting better by the game but he still needs someone doing a shift in front of him, United will surely be looking to expose that flank.

We must score up there. Even a 2-1 loss is not a disaster but to lose the game without scoring would make it very hard to go through.

If we get get a win or a draw I really do fancy us to go through. If we lose the game by more than 1 goal and/or do not score it's going to be very, very tough.

I agree totally about 2-1. I'd rather we attacked and scored away than sitting back and losing without a goal. 2-1 is 'technically' a 'win' in some circumstances (result at The Grove dependent obv.), so I'd rather we played and attacked.

Besides, my money is on a 1-1 up there and a 2-1 at home.

Also, getting towards that time of the year and I've had a thought. I think Eboue might be my player of the season. Which is staggering.

Agree again with all the analysis of Wednesday's game. We need to score. I just hope our brittle defence can cope with a bombardment like the one United produced in the second half on Saturday.

Player of the season is an interesting one. Not sure who I would go for. Eboue was excellent yesterday (at right back, his real position, please note Wenger) but I don't think I would give it to him. Not sure who it would be though. I tell you what, if he stayed fit and maintained his performances at the same level it would have easily been Gallas.

The thing with Eboue is that he isn't our best footballer by a long way, but fuck does he work. I don't actually know where his best position is, as I think he's a bit too 'wandering happy' to be a class right back, but that's why I've come to like him so much; no matter where you put him, whatever you ask him to do, no matter how hard he's told to play, he does it. Yes, he might not always be brilliant, but he tries and tries and tries and to play as well as he has done for the last 2 months since the Wigan game is something that alot of our squad should take notice of.

Right back.

Yea. He's just not the best defensively. High balls confuse him too. But going forward and over-lapping he looks very tidy. You can see why Wenger thought he would make a decent right midfielder. But it's different attacking as a full back and being furthest forward as a winger. Still, can't fault his effort, which is why all that Wigan stuff was unfortunate.

Eboue, we salute you.

I'm not sure about player of the season but for the last few weeks I've been won round again. I liked him, then intensely disliked him, and now I like him again. There's definitely a top drawer player in there somewhere, I just think he's a bit soft upstairs if I'm brutally honest. All his problems seem to stem from immaturity.

I hope those tossers who booed him a few months ago feel suitably ashamed of themselves. You can't fault a player who always does his best.

It was very hard to stomach but I think it was fair enough. He can maybe look back at it as a wake up call or whatever. I don't think he was trying his best and he dragged the Club down with his diving. I don't think the paying supporters have to put up with that. Again, I think it's a bit unfortunate because he doesn't seem the brightest. He looks like a child at times. He's incredibly popular with the players, apparently. The reaction from Cesc yesterday after the second goal was nice :P .
