Van Persie and Adebayor out for the Liverpool match, Sagna's back.

So that'll be

.................Fabianski

Sagna...Toure......Djourou....Silvestre

Walcott...Fabregas....Song/Denilson....Arshavin

...........Bendtner......Eduardo?..........

I think he'll go for 4-5-1 like he always does when he knows we are going to have a right game on our hands ;)

The best form of defence is attack! We have proved time and time again that we are not good enough to try and defend for 90 mins and snatch a goal on the break, so I'd rather us go 4-4-2 and attack Liverpool. Sitting back is just asking for trouble and it's not like we are good enough to keep clean sheets with a makeshift back 4 is it!

I think we can get something tomorrow but I will not be so confident if we concede an early goal as that seems to shatter our fragile confidence when we travel.

So Adebayor and van Persie out for tomorrow. No big loss. But..

My dad has always said that he finds himself questioning the training methods at times. I mean, when you look at it it's either that the players aren't in physical shape due to the training, that they're physically not up to it to start with, or it's a run of bad luck. Well, it's some fucking run of bad luck. Four or five years I reckon of being fucked over by an injury list as long as your arm. That's not bad luck. So, are the players we buy made of glass or are they not prepared right? All teams get injuries but do you ever see any other team up against it like we always are? I do think it's something the Club needs to look at, whether it's physical conditioning or transfer policy. Cos I genuinely believe that the full squad can challenge for everything. Again, you'll always get injuries but what a waste of time when you're always 25% down on your top players.

Teams know a heavy tackle stops the way we play, not saying the other teams are dirty, as long as the tackles clean its fine, but they know putting a bit more weight in will prevent us from playing our game, problem is all of our players are fast atheletic types whose bodies obviously can't take those kind of knocks, therefore we need a more protective force in midfield to sit alongside Arshavin, Walcott and Fabregas.

You might well have capable replacements. Or at least more of them. And you can't say you didn't miss Ferdinand recently. From untouchable to shambling mess ( ) with the loss of one player.

Ferdinand actually missed some of the games in the clean sheet run too, Vidic was the only 'constant' in that run (apart from VDS). The recent lack of form has more to do with the midfield struggling, a similar problem to what you guys have had for parts of the season.

The bigger problem is injury prone players though. Ronaldo gets taken down all the time and picks up very few injuries, same goes for lots of other players. Wenger just seems to have bought loads of players who break when looked at funny.

How much is 4-0 to Liverpool?

25-1. Who's offering Arsenal at 6-1? The best price I've seen is 4-1.

What do you lads expect from tonight? I'm feeling slightly more worried about it now that I know Adebayor and van Persie are out. I think the game would be more open with them on the pitch, which would suit us.

Also, what do you all reckon of this:

The Ray of Hope Appeal has made arrangements for Ray Kennedy to attend tomorrow night's match against Arsenal at Anfield. Ray's health permitting on the day, Ray is keen to come along and is really looking forward to the game. There will be twin mosaics held up in the Kop and in the visitors section of the Anfield Road prior to kick off to celebrate Ray's careers with Liverpool and Arsenal and we hope that all fans attending will acknowledge and celebrate a player who was a giant of both clubs. Let's give a truly great man the reception he deserves and a night to remember.

I can't wait for tonight. I've got that pre-game buzz that I just couldn't muster for the Chelsea tie. I'm expecting a cracking atmosphere what with the importance of the game for us and it being a mid-week (well, almost) evening kick-off. I'm gutted I can't be there tonight.

There hasn't been a better time to play us in the last three months. We are gonna get stuffed.

I hope he doesn't touch the ball once, you lot lose 5-0 and then win every game you've got left. Out of the teams left in the Champions League I'd like to see you go on to win it and I'd really appreciate you stuffing the Mancs at the pit.

Do you think he'll play tonight, though? I'm kind of expecting 4-5-1 with Bendter up front.

I think he will go for:

Fabianski

Sagna Toure Silvestre Gibbs

Walcott Song Denilson Fabregas Arshavin

Bendtner

Would love to see this just to see what would happen...

Fabianski

Sagna Toure Silvestre Gibbs

Walcott Song Fabregas Nasri

Arshavin

Bendtner

Change Bendtner for the crozillian and I'd be very happy with that line up.

the Gunners are on their longest unbeaten league run since the 'Invincibles' season in 2003/4.
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 29 home games. And Torres has 26 goals in 29 games at Anfield.

Scary stuff.

Someone texting the BBC

Dan R the 'first time txting' Gooner via text on 81111: "I can't help but think its going to be 90 minutes of us delightfully passing the ball around Liverpool's half to no avail, with a few moments of brilliance from Torres deciding the game... However I wouldn't rule out some magic from Arshavin. I would, however, from Bendtner."

Sums up what I think will happen too.
