We've got a load of young keepers in this country, Almunia will never play for England. They FA wouldn't allow it as they'd be such an uproar in the press that "young English talent" can't make the national team.

The Premier League's biggest clubs unveiled early designs for new kits for next season to negative reactions from supporters. Manchester United's shirt was described as "vulgar" and a "disgrace", Chelsea fans said their club's new kit would make them look like "muppets" and an Arsenal fan said his side's new shirt would be "one of the most unpopular ever". (Daily Star)

I assume the Arsenal shirt is the one linked above. I'd like to see the other two if anyone can find links.

EDIT: Daley's linked them in the football thread.

I do too. But Arsenal away kit should be yellow and yellow only. Fuck all this gold, green, blue, white bollocks.

The highest of fives. Fuck around with a third kit if you must but Arsenal wear red and white at home, yellow and dark blue away. And that is a fact as Rafa would say.

I love this year's Yellow Away kit. Alongside the 3rd White Kit, it's my favourite in absolutely ages. Why we have to have a new Away kit every fucking year now is beyond me.

The new kit-meh. It's fine. Better than the redcurrant and blue stripe thing that I've got from last year.

Even though we've got a pretty good bunch of strikers, RVP, Ade, Eduardo, Bendtner, Vela, Theo can/will eventually play there? and Arshavin can play as a 2nd striker. That's a lot of strikers and on paper looks pretty good.

From this season Bendtner has surely at least earnt another season before a decision is made to get rid or not.

Eduardo is superb and we've badly missed him.

Vela hasn't really been given a go yet but has already shown that there is potential there and he may turn out to be an excellent player.

Theo hasn't yet been used up front but he's continued improving and looks to be getting better all the time. Bags of potential.

Arshavin already looks brilliant and I'm sure he can play anywhere, out wide, in the middle or up front.

That leaves us with our first choice pairing.

RVP has looked excellent at times, but has also been frustrating as fuck at times. I think he needs to do more and more often.

Adebayor - he's been out for nealy two months with a 3 week injury. Something's obviously not right there. After the shenanigans of last summer where he thought he was Henry and should be on 120k a week, unless he repeated what he did last season then he would end up looking like a right cunt. He hasn't and he looks like a right cunt.

If the numbers are true, £30+ million, we should definitely let him go. The forwards need a little shake up. Maybe Ade out, a kick up the arse for RVP and someone like *David Villa in would be excellent business. Eduardo needs to get fit, probably after a good pre season, and then he should be our main striker.

*Can't see him coming to us really, probably end up at Barca or Real.

Hull City have submitted their full version of events to the Football Association regarding allegations of spitting by Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas.

Hull have submitted statements from Horton, manager Phil Brown and fitness conditioner Sean Rush to the FA.

"There is an independent solicitor representing us and hopefully there will be no bias towards any one club," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.

Wow, that's pretty damning. A series of statements from people associated with Hull football club? Looks like he definitely did it, guys. I can't see how this evidence is anything but watertight.
