I can't bring myself to talk about that pile of shit as there is simply nothing to say.

Daley, were you walking down Hornsey Road past the Tollington? Saw a guy with 'Daley 6' on the back of his shirt, but I wasn't going to do the hideously embarrassing thing of talking to a stranger who I may or may not vaguely know off the internet.

It's got to be said that we really are horse muck this season. A lot of the players are obviously good enough but just don't give a flying bastard about winning matches. They look bored and beaten before we even kick off.

I think we're going to be going into next year after a very turbulent summer. I wouldn't at all be surprised to see us playing Uefa cup football with a new manager, owner and a pretty different line up. Grumble.

The miracle is that we're fifth. That's the miracle. In some ways you give Wenger credit for getting us that far with regular starters like Song and Eboue. I watch quite a bit of football and I see Everton, Villa, Newcastle even and think that their playing staff look a lot more like top flight footballers than most of our lot. As a player, I wouldn't mind playing Arsenal. There's a point in it for you, or maybe a 'scalp'.

Our lot aren't switched on, they aren't up for it. Whether they'll learn is another matter.

We've all said it. It looks way too comfy at Arsenal. Could you see players like Eboue being tolerated at United? Maybe there's something there and you cut some slack but ultimately it should be a massive FUCK OFF. That's not the culture at Arsenal. Chance after second chance. What would Eboue have to do to be shown the door? How bad does Song have to get?

And I agree with jayboy about the width. Not a sniff until Vela came on, the poor sod. Time after time it goes semi wide and comes back inside. Predictable or what? With two pacey fullbacks you'd think we'd have it sussed but the likes of Nasri seem to want to congregate in the middle. Arshavin went the same way. Maybe that's their strong position but if they're down to play wide then play fucking wide. I think you need to look at Wenger for that one.

Who wants to stand up and be counted? Flamini did.

Yes that was me! Please say hello next time. :P

No I can't be that mean. It wasn't me but I do go that way to the ground. We actually went in the Tollington for a couple on Saturday.

The other thing that struck me about Saturday is that Sunderland were completely without any sort of ambition. Not having a pop at them, they can play how they like and it earnt them a point, but Wenger should have realised this earlier and whipped off Song or Denilson (not just for both playing poorly) as they were both not needed. Get Vela on the left and Nasri down the middle. Obviously Andrey "I am Gooner" Arshavin was gonna come off at some stage but this is a change that should have been made early, half time even. We take so long to change things it drives me crazy.

I hate to keep going on about it but I am seriously worried about empty seats next year. I get the vibe that people just go for the sake of it, not to lose their season tickets. Loads stay by the bar in the second half, leave early etc. It is almost as if people are just waiting for an excuse not to renew their season tickets. Finishing outside the top four may be just the excuse they are after. Maybe it is a good thing. Maybe a new generation of less cynical fans is what we need. Or maybe nobody else can afford it and we will be fucked.

I want real Gooners sitting in the seats! So many Gooners have been priced out of going to games in the last 6 or 7 years, it's criminal. I get so annoyed at the sheer amount of people coming in 5-10 mins after the game has started and then they are up and down for the rest of the afternoon as they need a slash or want to go and get some nachos/chips or whatever junk they sell downstairs.

Real fans arrive on time, watch the game, leave after the final whistle and go home. So many people at the Emirates are bloody clueless! Look at all these mugs with their damn cameras! I'm sure most of these people have never been to a stadium before. I am so annoyed with the idiots we have in the stadium. There's hardly any atmosphere and the people who get annoyed when fans shout & scream can fuck off! Some of them seem to think it's the cinema where everyone sits and munches and doesn't say a damn word.

And some of these 'tourists' have probably waited months and months to come to a game, yet choose to leave after 75/80 mins. Why? If you have paid £40-£60 for a ticket, why on earth do you need to leave early? If you have known for weeks and weeks in advance that you are coming, what possible reason do you have to rush off and leave so damn early? WHY?

His AC Milan move hasn't worked out so well from a purely footballing perspective. Financially though I'm sure he's raking it in.

His reason for moving was money - he knew he was never going to be a regular starter.

His agent obviously pulled the strings to secure the move as the agent doesn't care about the player, he just wanted his cut. His cut was obviously higher in moving him to Milan rather than keeping him at Arsenal.

The same thing will probably happen to van Persie. He's already started banging on about the fact that he will only sign a new deal if the clubs ambition matches his. They are usually tell-tale signs that a player is off.

The irony in that could be that Van Persie could be Henry's replacement at Barca.

This summer he will have less than a year left on his contract. The club can either keep him and let him walk on a free (most likely) or sell him for whatever they can get (which will not be much, why would a club pay a massive fee when they can scoop him up on a freebie a year later?).

Sounds like Edu all over again. Not sure Barcelona or Inter will allow him to be as lazy as Wenger does though...

I think that's a bit harsh. In the first half at least I though Sunderland played better and had more penetration up front. Certainly in the second half they sat back but they still counter attacked well. If I was an Arsenal fan I would be worried, that team was only missing 2 or 3 first team players. I still think with a couple more decent players and everyone else fit (I know, LOL!) you'd have a brilliant team.

What's your solution, give cheap seats to "real Gooners?" Great idea! We'll have to sell Fabregas, Walcott, Arshavin, Nasri and Van Persie to do it but it's OK, we have Eboue and the crowd still.

Maybe real Gooners should have got better jobs.

Having the most expensive seats in the country just isn't fair. Over £1000 for the cheapest ticket to watch the freshly laid shit that is served up week in week out is a scandal. I can't afford that. Imagine taking your kids - that's a fair old chunk of change that many can ill afford. We can't afford the ground without all these corporate seats, but they're killing the place. It's all part of this plastic, packaged pile of crap that modern football is I suppose. Grumble.

Maybe we shouldn't be massively overpaying no-mark kids that have won fuck all?

We have a wage bill that almost equals that of man United, the most successful club in the country at the moment, yet have won nothing since the worst FA Cup final I can recall watching in 2005 and don't look like we're going to be any where near winning anything this season. Players are rewarded for failing.

Adebayor wants parity with Henry? Yes, that's right you've won the BBC goals of the season competition, of course you should be on a par with a man who has won:

Arsenal

FA Premier League: 2001–02, 2003–04

FA Cup: 2002, 2003, 2005

FA Community Shield: 2002, 2004

International

FIFA World Cup: 1998

UEFA European Football Championship: 2000

Confederations Cup: 2003

Thanks wikipedia.

I earn a decent wage, but £1200 for my ticket is an awful lot of money, whatever way you look at it. Add transport, food, drink, programmes and I reckon I do £2k a season just going to watch football.

There are no discounts for kids, so if a dad wants to take his two sons, it will eat up the best part of £4000! I got into Arsenal as a youngster as my Dad used to take my brother and I as football was easily affordable back then. How are we going to pack out the stadium in the future? More to the point, if prices stay the same or go up in the future, how will we pack out the stadium if we are shit?

Good stuff RvP. I think Mexes is lucky to still be on the pitch, I think that foul might of been worthy of a 2nd yellow.

Anyway, this is going better then I thought but I hope we score from open play at some stage tonight.

A dozen or so things to come out of that half, mostly obvious. Chief among them, something I've been saying for months.. Song literally sucks the life out of this team. Forget that Diaby has looked good, anyone is better than Song.

And hands up, who's kidnapped Eboue?

Oh, and dawg.. We heard you like stoppages so we put a stoppage in your stoppage.. ;)
