All we need now is to agree a fee, agree terms, buy a DMF, buy a CB or two, stop persisting with Eboue, Diaby, Song.................

I think this period will go down in history as the 'Song era'. I mean, does anyone typify our problems more than that poor sod? Totally harmless (unfortunately :P ), gormless, can't pass, slow, can't tackle, no positional sense, zero concentration, not fussed about the shirt but ultimately has got two legs and is young and, I assume, cheap. I challenge everyone to look outside of our Club and find three worse alternatives from any first team in the division. In fact, find a worse midfield than Eboue, Denilson, Diaby and Song in the whole of Europe, I bet you can't. I'd rather he put in Merida and Randall. I'd rather he picked out four Carling Cup names (keepers included) at random, from a hat, and play them across the middle.

Song's odd. He obviously did very well at the African cup thingy, player of the tournament, wasn't he. He looked pretty solid at Charlton, has done ok at centreback for us a couple of times (looking better there than in CM), yet handed a regularly starting berth plays toilet every week.

He clearly must have some talent, so then the question must be why is it not used?

He could be a half-decent centre back I think but he is just too damn slow for midfield. Really though he just needs to go and take Eboue with him.

Every transfer window is just so frustrating, and yes pretty much a shambles.

I think we'll sign Arshavin and he'll be a great signing, but it ain't half dragged on. Where's the CB signing? Where's the DMF signing?

Last time we had the Alonso shenanigans, how good would it have been to sign him! What was it? we called Liverpool with about half an hour to go and were about a million or so short.

We let Flamini's contract run down and let him walk out for nothing, Diarra, that c**t Cole.

Where were the signings last January? A couple of good signings then, and we could actually have won the league.

I really can't see Walcott going anywhere. I had a feeling earlier in the season that you'd lose RVP and Cesc in the summer but for some reason it seems less likely to me now.

Maybe I'm mad (I had you guys down to win the league when I did the BBC's Premiership Predictor the other day) but I still think you'll get back in the top 4, maybe higher.

Hey, who's really EXCITED about going to the game today??? Eh??? Come on!!!! It'll be a FEAST of football. Me, I'm most looking forward to the hypeman's call and response before the game.

Then me and my pals will get some McEmirates burgers in (probably go for the meal deal - you save some money that way!) and watch a bit of the game on the screens. I'm a true blue gunner gooner!

Why was Van Persie dropped? The only player in a month who has created or scored anything. Why? WHY? Wenger's decision making at the moment is like some abstract, Kafka-esque waking nightmare.

Apparently he doesn't like playing him too much as he is so injury prone. :wub:

When they were going through the team news on Match of the Day, having avoided the result all day, the commentator mentioned that Bendtner started in place of Van Persie. I actually said "oh fuck off" to a television.

According to the BBC, David Dein says we urgently need to strengthen. Emmanuel Petit says we should spend the Arshavin money on Flamini.

Can one of them be our manager?

So apparently Arshavin is in England taking a medical. I guess it's just lucky we are trying to sign a Russian and not a Brazilian or something like that as they might have turned up, seen the snow and thought sod this and got back on the plane.
