WANT!

What? FOR OUR NEXT SIGNING?

Fuck me, I do hope we don't struggle tomorrow.

Did read something earlier that suggested any signing will depend on whether we look like qualifying for the CL proper, ie the funds that will generate. Makes sense. Wenger will (please God) have a list of who he wants and will go for a bigger name if we're odds on to get through. I can only guess as to who he'll play in the middle tomorrow, probably Denilson and Eboue.

What's Cesc done BTW?

You know it's bad when Spurs are making better signings than you. I'm firmly in the doom camp this season, I do like the idea of pushing Kolo in Centre mid, I think that's where he started his debut?

Wouldn't worry about qualifying for the CL, we're playing against a team managed by McClaren, and we always dick on them.

Yeah, it's something I'd look at. Amazing when he first went to CB but ultimately not good enough.

Regarding Cesc's hamstring. The run of injuries we've had is extraordinary. Some unavoidable - breaks to Eduardo and Diaby recently, Rosicky apparently with inherent problems etc. - but do we look at training, fitness etc.? Is the fitness side managed well enough? Week in week out we have new additions to the treatment table. Do we need physically stronger players? Better preparation?

Senderos is actually out as well, we'll probably play Denilson with Ramsey in the middle and Walcott and Eboue on the wings, Gallas and Djourou at CB.

I'm definitely gonna cry.

Imagine playing Chelsea or Utd with that midfield and CB pairing. I can't even start to imagine who might be on the bench.

This really is shit, I'm taking my ball and not playing anymore.

It's a joke, something is seriously wrong. We cannot go into a season with this squad, it's bare bones already. Forget two signings, we need three or four.

I'm really annoyed. Ramsey and Denilson is not a pairing I want to see going into a CL game.

I would be watching the game tonight, but I'm injured ;)

Fabregas has done his groin or hamstring... one of the two. Meant to be out for the game on Saturday too.

Basically tonight looks like...

Almoony

Clichy

Billy

Justin Hoyte

Sagna

Walcott

Ramsey

Denilson

Eboue

RVP

Ade

Personally.... i would have stuck ade & bendtner up top with RVP on the left of midfield and putting Theo on the right. But hey ... what do i know.

Yeah, it's not a bad shout.

Djourou is in the squad, and will probably play with Gallas at the back

Djourou will play.

I'm really fucked off about it all at the moment.

I once accepted the job of FC Twente manager in SWOS...only to be stuck there for over a season with no other club wanting my services. Career dead.

Art mirrors life? We can but hope.

While looking at the big picture things ain't pretty I still think we'll be fine tonight. Gallas and Djourou will be a grand paring aginst these lot. Wallcot and Eboue (I know) decent replacements for the wings. We've got the awesome fullback combo of Gael and Sagna. Then with Ade and RvP up front I don't think we'll have to many problems.

Sure, it could wind up being a tense affair but we should be fine. Really.

Look, I know we're fucking down to the barebones at the moment and it's not the way I would've wanted to be going into the season but it's not the end of the fucking world. Just please god Wenger, open up that check book.

I wouldn't be suprised if what you said is true and Wenger is waiting to see if we make it to the Champions League until he spends. Something is seriously wrong to be going into a qualifier with a squad like this. Either money is tight or Wenger has gone mad.

There was talk of £70m available some time ago. Plus anything accrued since then from player sales and other business. Apparently getting into the CL proper is worth £25m (I've not verified that) so in theory we should have money to spend. So your Wenger going mad theory might be right.
