I've got a bit of a soft spot for him, actually. The season we got to the CL final he was amazing and he always entertained one way or another. One game, we came from behind to lead after loads of time wasting from the opposition. The ball went behind for a goal kick and he hurdled the hoardings to go get it. As he came back he 'tried' to throw the ball back onto the pitch but it 'accidentally' hit the hoardings and bounced miles away at which point he chased after it :o . He got a yellow card but it was so obvious :lol: .

A few tricky looking teams in there.

At this stage I'd rather not have to face Athletico Madrid, Dynamo Kiev or Galatasaray. The rest are shit really.

We got FC Twente. McClarens new team. Could have been easier but could have been harder.

Tricky ish? - not really, they're shit and we should crush them. At home in the 2nd leg as well so it should be a piece of piss.

We're trying to win the whole thing remember so really we should/will walk this.

I'm not too bothered. I know a lot of people have voiced their concerns over his performance towards the end of the season and rightly so. He has admitted to these mistakes and if he can go about addressing them, well, happy days. Also, with Flamini,Helb and Gilberto gone we really don't need a change of captain rocking the boat further. I'd all be on for Cesc taking over the season after this though.

Also this comes far to late.

Great news all round! I wish we'd have just fucked off Adebayor and given the armband to Cesc. Wenger also doesn't seemed to concerned if we don't buy that "one" we're after. I haven't even heard any rumours bar that Swiss guy from Udinese. Guys, I'm getting worried.

He's staying because he's got a new contract worth double his old one and on top of that no-one bid for him. How infuriating, I wish we'd kept the fucker on £35k a week. Meanwhile, Barcelona are still chatting about buying him, calling him 'an option'.

As Arseblog points out, compare what's happened here with Cesc, who came straight out and said (on multiple occasions) "no, I'm staying". Legend. That's why we love him.

On another note, is anywhere showing the games this weekend online at all?

Yes, probably for a while anyway seeing as he was booed a bit yesterday. But alas we football fans are a fickle type and if he recreates his scoring form we saw last season it won't be long 'till you here it again. Sorry.
